In the Chief Prosecutors office, laid Miles Edgeworth. He was looking out the window while drinking his tea. Of course, he is happy that someone from seven years ago would come back to his office. It was eventually clear day outside, much to Edgeworth's enjoyment.
The office door had a few knocks, he turned around, and then spoke up.
"Come in!"
The door opened, in it was man, a man that Edgeworth knew seven years. He was 43 years old, most of his hair was sort of grey, looked sort of tall, some wrinkles on most of his skin, his shoes were even more browner than usual, and has more facial hair near his lips.
"Greetings, Miles Edgeworth," the man asked him, Edgeworth smiled. "Long time, no see."
"Yes," Edgeworth said calmly. "Mister Raymond Shields."
Ray just laughed. "I knew you would remember my name."
"I am afraid so," Edgeworth said. "How is Edgeworth Law Offices?"
"That place?" Ray thought, his mind popped up. "Oh yeah, me and my wife Katherine are organizing it. You never know that there are gonna be bugs snooping around your place."
"Katherine? Your wife?" Edgeworth questioned. Ray nodded. "Yeah, after Keyes arrest and clearing her charges, I managed to propose to her and then we got married."
"I see," Edgeworth said. "Congratulations, Mr. Shields."
"Yeah," Raymond said. "I am just glad that I am happy for it."
There talk continued. Edgeworth and Ray knew on how Manfred would show disdain to his son and not take his father's path to follow the footsteps of the man who had killed him.
Of course, Raymond began to sigh, he remembered one thing when he sawed Edgeworth in court Recently. It shocked him. But Ray continued.
"Edgeworth, I think I remember something," Ray told, Edgeworth continued looking. "I remember something a few days ago."
"You were Chief Prosecutor, you were prosecuting a lawyer but instead, you were prosecuting a prosecutor, and another lawyer revealed the truth instead of you."
Edgeworth was still staring at the man. Raymond still continued with a serious look.
"I want to know, just what happened?"
Edgeworth remained a bit silent, after a while, he spoke. "I was Chief Prosecutor and I had to do my job."
"If I weren't, I would be disqualified."
"I see..." Ray said.
"Well Edgeworth," Ray asked. "I better get going, time's running out."
"Of course," Edgeworth said. "It has been nice knowing you Mister Shields."
"It has been nice knowing ya as well, Edgeworth." Ray was waving his hand, he was leaving to the door. "I hope we get to see each other again, soon."
"As of course," Edgeworth said. "See you soon, Mister Shields."
"I'll be watching Miles Edgeworth!"
