A/N: ha! Writing that was fun…. heh… hey pplz this is my first (and probs last) fic that I have (and will) write. Heh… it's pretty corny… but ya… so… here's the story!
Meyrin's POV
"Please take care of Athrun for me…" Cagalli-sama says to me as she was getting ready to leave the ship.
I slowly nod my head, and I watch Cagalli-sama walk away. She tries to hide her sad eyes behind her bangs, but I can still see her eyes brimming with tears. I feel so bad, yet I can do nothing. Am I the one who has caused this misery to Cagalli and Athrun? Has this little school-girl crush led them to break up? Oh I better go! Athrun is coming now!
Normal POV
"CAGALLI! WAIT!" Athrun shouted across the hall.
Cagalli slowly turns around and sees Athrun running full speed towards her. Cagalli is shocked at the speed he is going at, but Athrun is after all, a Coordinator. Athrun stops in front of her and takes a deep breath.
"Why Cagalli? Why do you want to break up?" Athrun questions her with a hurt expression in his eyes.
"I'm sorry Athrun… I… I… I'm being selfish. I have a bigger responsibility, and that's Orb. Besides, you've got Meyrin now… you don't need me anymore." Cagalli says as she looks down to the ground to hide her forming tears.
"Cagalli! You can't say that! I don't have feelings for Meyrin! She's just like a sister to me! Cagalli, please! You can't leave me! Not after all that we've gone through together!" Athrun says.
"Athrun… I'm sorry…." Cagalli whispers. However, with Athrun's Coordinator hearing, he picked up Cagalli's apology.
"Cagalli, look at me." Cagalli still looks to the ground. "Cagalli…." Athrun gently takes her chin and raises her head so that she faces him. Athrun is shocked to see tears streaming down Cagalli's cheeks. Cagalli looks off to the side to avoid eye contact with Athrun. "Cagalli? Are you alright? Why are you crying?" Athrun says a worried voice.
"I….I…-"
Athrun cuts her off, "Cagalli…" He warmly embraces her.
"Athrun… what are you doing?" She is shocked and blushes from the sudden contact.
"Shhh… everything is gonna be ok… I'll always be here to support you… just, please… don't leave me…. Please…" Athrun whispers in a soothing voice, loud enough just for her to hear.
"Thank you Athrun…. Thank you for always being there for me…. But…I…I don't want to be unfair to you… when I go back to Orb, I won't have much time to be with you. You deserve someone much better than me." Cagalli says as she returns the embrace.
"Cagalli… you're the only one… the only one that I have ever loved so deeply…. There is no one who could be better than you…. You're the one that I love. You're the one that I want to be with!"
"I… I love you too Athrun… I'll never leave you… I love you more than you can ever imagine." After saying this, Cagalli breaks the embrace, and stuffs her hand into her pocket, fishing out the ring. Athrun smiles warmly, and Cagalli slips the rings back onto her finger. "Thank you Athrun."
"Thank you as well Cagalli. Let's fight and end this battle…. Together." Says Athrun with determination.
"Then let's go!" Cagalli says cheerfully. And they run off together to the hangar to their mobile suits.
"Sorry Mwu! I'm taking the Akatsuki back!" Cagalli shouts out to Mwu (Neo… whichever…)
