Redeemed

A/N: "Sequel" to: The choices we make. "Sequel" you ask? You'll see...

At first it hadn't mattered...much. Well, what could you expect? No soul, remember? Then when he did get the soul he was all psycho. But now he can think straight. Now he doesn't have that chip in his head. And he plans to get revenge.

Why?

He loved him.

Not in the 'oh-you're-so-bloody-hot-and-I-love-you-and-want-to-marry-you-and-shag-you-senseles' way (well maybe a little) but he loved him like a brother. A younger, annoying, self-righteous brother, but a brother none the less. The whole time he felt like that about him. About everyone. But now that he has a soul he knows that that's what he felt. And h realized he would have killed for any of them. His family.

"Xander I will avenge your death."

The biker demons had decided to comeback to Sunnyhell as Spike not-so-affectionately called it.

Why?

He didn't know.

He didn't care.

It was the leader who had killed him. The others who had mutilated his lifeless body. Stabbing it wit their knives. Then as if it hadn't been enough the leader decided to carve B.D. onto the poor mans flesh.

He would make the Biker Demons would pay.

If he beat Buffy to it.

He ran.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There they were.
Spike loaded the cross bow. It clicked. Spike aimed. He pulled the trigger.
TWANG
THUD
Spike quickly reloaded.
TWANG
THUD
The demons were confused . One caught on.
TWANG
THUD
It went down. More caught on.
TWANG
THUD
It fell. The rest knew. Spike ran out of his hiding place. A dozen minus four? Eight left. He had two more arrows.
TWANG THUD
TWANG THUD
Six left. They surrounded him. He wasn't sure what to do. He could take three. But six? Suddenly:
TWANG SWOOSH WHIRR
THUD THUD THUD
He looked around. Giles had shot one down with a crossbow, Tara had cast a fireball, and Willow a spinning wheel of energy. Giles reloaded and Buffy came out with a sword. Spike saw the leader. He lunged at him. The leader whipped the blades out and lashed at Spike. It cut his arm but he didn't care. Spike grabbed the demon's head.
CRACK
THUD
Spike saw his chance. He vamped out. He lunged.
~Hey guys! What's up?~
~Is something wrong?~
~So who am I getting pummeled by today?~
~Another apocalypse? Remember the last one? Good times.~
He couldn't do it. He couldn't imitate the demon. He couldn't avenge Xander's death properly. Hell's Xander probably wouldn't want that either. He stopped. Returning to his human visage.
For a moment they all saw him. They all head him.
~I'm proud.~
Spike awaited the sun rise.
He had failed to kill the demon.
But he didn't care.
He waited patiently like the years had taught him to.
The rays licked his skin.
He placed a had on his cheek.
It was warm.
He placed a hand over his chest, his heart.
It was beating.
