Emma sat at her desk, sifting through paperwork that needed to be organized and stored. She had been at it, for what seemed like hours. Although she was grateful to be occupied with all of this, than having to chase a fairytale villain all over Storybrooke. She was going to take advantage of those very rare 'quiet moments' that David always tries to remember her of.
Too consumed into her work she didn't even notice Killian strolling up to her desk with a bag in his hand. Quickly, he threw the bag down onto the table, shouting out a loud, "Boom," which had startled her so she glanced up at him, "Granny's to go. Literally," referring to a few weeks ago when she had been practicing her magic at Granny's Diner.
"Thanks," she smiled at him as he pulled a chair over to the desk and sat down next to her, giving her a quick peck on the cheek, "Grilled cheese? You are the best."
"Aye, I know," he gave her a wink, "I figured you were so bloody swamped with work that you hadn't even given a thought to eating. You're working yourself too much, take a break, love."
"Yeah, I know. I was just thinking about that actually," she turned slightly towards him, intertwining their fingers and settling them on her lap, "Maybe, we could talk about planning a second date?" She knew he wouldn't say no, but for some reason she was still nervous.
"Is this you asking me out again?" Killian huffed.
She let out a breathy laugh, "No. More like, a speculation of what we could do. I thought the kiss after our first date leaned more towards the 'yes' when you asked me out. But maybe," she grabbed onto the lapels of his leather jacket, pulling him a bit closer to her, their lips almost touching, "another kiss might help." Killians's lips met hers, the warmth of his mouth sent a current running through her body.
So unaware of their surroundings, they didn't notice that David had entered the room. David cleared his throat, announcing his presence, which pulled them apart, making Emma blush after her father had seen her making out with her boyfriend. Well, in her defense they had missed her teenage years, he deserved it.
"I'll see you later, love." And with a kiss on the cheek, he was gone. She couldn't wait for that date.
