Today I am going out hunting with Tamlen. I think… I think today maybe the day that I finally tell him how I feel. Oh I am so nervous. Maybe I shouldn't do this. No no no, I have to. I promised myself I would tell him before the new year comes and this month is almost gone already. Okay, I'm going to do this. Wish me luck!
Iluna quickly closed her journal after writing the quick entry and slid it into the front pocket of her bag. After saying goodbye to some of her friends in the clan she made her way over to the exit where Tamlen was waiting for her. Tamlen was taller than her, although she was rather short for her age but he did not compare to the height of a human. Iluna, personally, had not seen many humans around these parts, and the few she did find usually fled from the clan. She had also known Tamlen since just around the time her parents had died and Iluna could remember the first time they met very clearly.
"Hey Iluna," Tamlen called to her as she got close to her. Iluna smiled sweetly and waved to him, jogging the rest of the way toward him. "Are you ready to go?" He asked. She checked herself to make sure she had all of her supplies with her and nodded her head 'yes'. The two of them started off into the woods, just walking side by side in the silence, until they got deep enough into the woods and far enough away from camp.
"So somebody's being really quiet. Uhh… is something wrong? You're kind of usually talking. At least a little…" Tamlen started talking, almost to himself. "No nothing's wrong, Tamle-" Iluna was stopped by his arm reaching out in front of her and lifting a finger up, a signal telling her to be quiet. He must have heard something.
Soon after taking turn looking around the woods for the mysterious noise that Tamlen had heard they ended up in a small circle with no trees in it and a sleeping bear. Perfect Iluna thought. Tamlen cautiously walked up behind the bear and took out his sword and struck the bear in the neck, killing it in one blow. "We'll make camp here tonight. Then we can look around for a bit in the morning and then bring the bear back to camp." Tamlen said without turning around.
Ah finally the sun sets. Tamlen and I are staying out in the woods tonight so we can get back to hunting right away in the morning. I, uhh, I couldn't do it. I was so close, too. I was right and ready about to tell him when he told me to be quiet. I got kind of angry at that but he thought he heard something. I can't believe I am so stupid! First of all I should have just told him when we were closer to camp before we could have run into anything. I also should have been able to sense the bear, but I guess I was just too distracted to think about our task. Ugh. Well I always have tomorrow, I guess. I have to do it before we get back to the others. I don't think I could do it in front of everyone else.
AN: Ahh I finished the first chapter! I think there is probably a lot of spelling/grammar mistakes in here but hopefully it doesn't suck too much. Anyways, this is going to be about my warden Iluna in dragon age origins and I'll be writing it as I play the game. the parts at the beginning and ends of each chapter will be like a journal entry written by Iluna.
