Who else could go for a hot, Italian, summer romance? Yeah, me too.

Much thanks to my beta, and my best friend, Peyton/ BeautifulEyes o.o

I don't own anything, sadly....

Chapter 1

"Oh, Bella!", my mother, Renee, gushed as she paced back and forth at the foot of my bed. "I can just see it now! You'll go off to Europe being your shy self, but while you're there, you'll fall in love at first sight with some gorgeous boy. You know those Italian men define tall, dark and handsome. You'll come home looking confident and glowing, it's perfect for going off to college in the fall!"

It was the night before my epic six week trip to Italy. I was going along with my two best friends Alice and Rose, and Rose's boyfriend Emmett. It was our high school graduation present from all of our parents. I was extremely excited about this opportunity for practicing photography, because I knew Italy was bound to have some marvelous sites. Alice, on the other hand, was interested in two things: shopping and men. Rosalie and Emmett would probably end up going off on their own the majority of the time. After all, soon it would be their 3 year anniversary.

I shut my suitcase and sighed as I flopped down on my bed.

"Mom, no matter how much you swoon over the thought of me finding my Prince Charming on this vacation, it's not going to happen. I'm going to be very busy, so I don't think I could fit a guy in my schedule even if I wanted to." I told her while kicking my dangled feet back and forth.

Renee sat down next to me and wrapped an arm around me. "Honey, just call it a mothers intuition, you will fall in love on this trip, no negotiating it!" Somehow I knew just to drop the subject or she'd be up for another hour, lecturing me about how she just wouldn't allow her beautiful, daughter to never even have her first kiss by the time she went off to college. She was definitely the opposite of most mothers in many ways. "Now go to sleep, you have a flight to catch in the morning and a big day ahead of you!" Renee kissed my head and I stood up and gave her one last hug before she left the room to go downstairs.

My phone vibrated and I quickly grabbed it and read the text message.

I know you're excited, but you have to get some sleep! It's already midnight and if you don't plan on biting all our heads off at 5 in the morning, I advise you get some rest. 'Night!

I laughed because she knew me too well. I responded with a quick goodnight and tossed my cell phone on my bed side table. I threw the covers over my head and snuggled into the warmth of my blankets. The last thought to fill my mind before I fell asleep was how I knew I wouldn't end up falling in love on this trip and would probably have to end up making up a story to satisfy my mom.

Oh, how wrong I was.
