Treebrother

Loial stared at Rand. His mouth was wide open.

"When Treebrother said that Avendesora was not in the Eye, I assumed that it had died, but in the Waste?" Rand al'Thor nodded. He remembered Avendesora well, and his encounter with Joar Adam Nessossin there.

"Do you want to see it?" Rand said to Loial, and he nodded.

Melaine and Aviendha sat outside Rhuidean, when they saw a silvery slash open in front of them. Behind them, in the main city of Rhuidean, where the Aiel Wise Ones and gai'shain lived. After the final conflict with Sevanna's Shaido and Mer'a'din, gai'shain and wise ones seemed to be the only Aiel left. Rand and Loial stepped out, and Melaine greeted them.

"Welcome Car'a'carn, Loial. May you always find shade and water." Rand asked Aviendha and Melaine if they would take them to where Avendesora stood. Loial wept a silent tear as he saw the charred remains of the still living Tree of Life.

"Rand, will you call every Aiel into here, where they can see Avendesora and myself."

Rand did this. Loial sat in a crossed-leg position and began to Sing.

Rand had heard Loial Sing before, but never this hard. He was trying his hardest.

It was then that the second voice sang out.

A gai'shain came walking through the crowds of Aiel, to sit down by Loial. More and more gai'shain did this, and before long, all but Rand were singing. Rand felt goose-pimples over his body. He knew what was happening, as did everyone across the World.

Lord Commander of the Light Galadedrhid Damodred knew it.

King Perrin and Queen Faile, followers of the way of the leaf and rulers of the strip of land from New Manetheren to Saldaea knew it.

Matrim Cauthon, so'jhin and Seeker, husband to the Daughter of the Nine Moons knew it, as he rolled his dice.

al'Lan Mandragoran and el'Nynaeve Mandragoran, rulers of new Malkier knew it, and Nynaeve smiled at Sharina, her Aes Sedai advisor, and at Lan, who had their child on his lap.

Rina Hafden and her Warder Elyas Machera both knew it. Elyas also knew that his friends also knew it.

Moiraine Damodred, free from the Tower of Ghenjei smiled at her husband Thom, who smiled back.

Across the world people were rejoicing, none more so than the Tuatha'an.

Then the singing stopped. Rand noticed that every Aiel had been singing. Then he looked at Avendesora.

It was perfect again. He heard a little voice say something in his head, and he knew that it was an old friend.

"Welcom to the Age of Legends." Said Lews Therin Telamon.
