Hey everyone. This isn't my best or favourite oneshot, but I was feeling bored and this is the first idea that popped into my head. Anyways, this takes place before the whole demon-killing-Jess-in-the-fire incident, so lets just imagine that'll never happen. Lol.

The Next Step

"Oh my god Sam, look, a full moon!" Said an excited Jess, as she pulled Sam towards the edge of the creek. Sam looked up to the moon, and then looked back at Jess, and they both smiled. He leaned in for a kiss, and she pressed her lips against his, and they both slowly fell to the ground, kissing each other passionately.

But then Jess pulled away, and put her finger on his lips, leaving Sam puzzled. "You know Sam; I've been thinking, about, umm… us." Sam smiled and said, "Yeah, what about us?" Jess put her hand on his arm and said, "How we should take the next step, and…" Sam leaned in and kissed Jess again and said, "Oh, and what's the next step?" Jess grinned, and then kissed his neck. He closed his eyes, and that's when everything faded out.

Sam woke up with a jerk, looking around the familiar room, looking for Jess. He wiped his head, even though he wasn't sweating, and was surprisingly thirsty. He jumped off the bed, looking around for Jess, calling out her name a few times.

"I'm in the kitchen," she answered, and he walked over to the kitchen, where he saw her with a bag of groceries. Sam shook his head, trying to fight away a slight dizziness and nausea he was experiencing.

"What happened last night?" He asked, going over to the tap and fetching a glass. He looked back at Jess, and she just smiled, while he drank the water. He sat down on a chair beside the kitchen's dining table, still so thirsty. Actually when he thought about it, he felt his stomach grumbling too.

"Well Sam," said Jess, "Why don't you tell me yourself?" With that she pulled out a plastic bag of pig blood from the grocery bag and threw it in front of him. Sam looked confused at first, but then the hunger in him grew, larger than any other hunger he had ever experienced. He kept looking at the pig's blood, and couldn't find himself focusing on anything else. He tried looking at Jess, but his vision became blurry, as though the blood was all he could see.

Without thinking, he picked up the bag and bit into it savagely, drinking it noisily. Within seconds the bag was over. He threw it down, and now looked back at Jess, who was still smirking at him. He could feel a trickle of blood poring down his chin, and he rubbed it with the back of his hand, and that's when he felt them. Fangs. Fangs which had slid down his lips.

Jess came over to him, and bend close to his ear, and whispered, "You wanted me to take the next step Sam. Well, this is it. Now we can be together, forever." Sam just looked at her, a frightening smile arising on his face.

Well that's all. Please review... Oh, and Happy New Year!
