Disclaimer: Yes...I have won the bid on Veronica Mars and Heroes...wait...no...that was something different.
He was going to kill her, she knew it as soon as he knew he was hurting her. She couldn't scream, wouldn't give him the satisfaction of knowing she was hurting. She held his eyes, their hands still entwined on the sandy ground. The pain got too much that she closed her eyes, her lips mouthing the three words that she'd never tell him. He looked at her eyes closing and realized that he had to do something before he killed her. Removing his hand from her forehead, he cut himself deeply, Pouring the blood over the wound on her forehead. When the wound closed, she sat up and grasped at, "I remember…I remember everything."
He was confused at what had happened to her. One moment he-Sylar-was killing her and the next he-Gabriel-had stopped himself. Now she was sobbing and clutching at his shirt, proclaiming she remembered. But what exactly did she remember, Sylar's voice questioned in the back of his mind as he fought to be the one in control again. With Elle, there was always something that made him stop being Sylar, serial killer, and become Gabriel Gray, owner of a watch shop. But now, with her muttering she remembered, he wondered if she really belonged to him or if her heart was for someone else, who hadn't try to kill her.
Elle's sobs had stopped; the only sound she was making was slight hiccups. She stared back at his face, her eyes showing a sorrow that made his heart drop, knowing what she was telling him. "I'm not Elle Bishop, they manipulated me," she told him after they had sat in silence for awhile. She had moved slightly away from him and all he could was watch as she told him who she was. Knowing nothing he did could change who she was. "I live-lived-in this small town in California, Neptune, with my dad and I was about to move in with my boyfriend, the famous Logan Echolls." Gabriel raised his eyes, the name of a famous star's son made him wonder why he never heard of her disappearance. "I was loved Gabriel. And they took that away from me because they wanted my powers." She spat out the word powers, knowing they were the reason for the life she thought she had. "The company took me 5 years ago for my powers, not caring that they hurt me. They made the Haitian take away my memories and forge old ones with Bob Bishop, making me think that I was Elle Bishop."
"I'm so sorry Elle-,"
"Veronica," he looked confused as she corrected him, "My real name's Veronica Mars. My dad is-or was- a private investigator." She laughed as she remembered something about herself, her true self, "I was a junior P.I, somewhat, I'd help my dad as a secretary and with some of the smaller cases, and I solved cases for people at my high school. I also solved like four of the biggest mysteries in your city. I was pretty much amazing."
"You sill are," he told her, smiling as he thought of what she might have been like. "I bet you were all rainbows and butterflies, with a favorite color that was pink," she laughed and his voice changed from joking to serious. "You want to go back, don't you?"
"I need to Gabriel, to see if I can be who I really am," she told him, his heart slowly breaking, "and I need to do it alone." With that, she walked away with an idea in her head, leaving a broken man behind her.
