1979 June 9th 9:42pm

James Potter and Sirius Black rushed though St Mungos with haste. Stopping at the clerk desk to demand where their friend was being held before again sprinting through the long white hallways until they spotted a figure bent over in a chair, his head in his shaking, blood stained hands.
"Remus!"
His head snapped up and at the sight of his two friends rushing towards him, he felt a small relief.
"Oh, thank merlin…" he gasped.
"Where is she?"
"Is she okay?"
"What happened?"
Remus looked between the two terrified faces, "I went around to see her…and I found her on the floor unconscious and bleeding. The house is a mess Sirius…she must have been attacked…whoever it was got away."
Sirius growled and punched the nearby wall, "DAMMIT!" he screamed.
James put a hand on his shoulder to try and calm him, "Padfoot…she's strong. She'll pull through, she's never failed."
The Potter shot a look at Remus whose facial expression said it all. There was a serious doubt of James's words.
Sirius threw himself into the chair that Remus had previously occupied and buried his head in his hands.
He'd only seen her that morning. He'd kissed her head as she sat at the kitchen counter eating her breakfast before he left to go to the Ministry. She had been perfectly fine, smiling brightly almost glowing.
"Where is she?" a voice called from down the hall.
Remus and James turned their heads to find a red-haired woman running down the hall towards them, still dressed. Lily Evans had a look of terror on her face as she stopped before them.
"She's in surgery now…" Remus murmured.
Lily nodded and took a seat beside Sirius. She put her hand hesitantly in his back and when he didn't fight her off, she started moving it in a circular movement.
"It'll be alright Sirius," she soothed.
Sirius stood up quickly, "someone just attacked my girlfriend. My pregnant girlfriend! In my own home! I am possibly about to lose the woman I love and my child! And it's going to be alright?"
