"Aeris...."
I called out her name. Every time her name rolled off my tongue, it felt as if she was with me in the room right now. Her sweet, gentle features, her emerald eyes, her golden brown hair, everything about her made me feel.... well, a feeling words could never describe. Her laugh, was so beautiful. She was perfect. Everything a man could ever want in a woman.
My eyes filled up with tears. She was the one. My angel. She made me feel special, like a whole new being. I could talk about things with her, that I could never talk about with anyone else. She taught me how to cry, how to laugh. She taught me how to experience life itself.
But she wasn't here. She was now in the Promised Land. Her Promised Land. With her mother and race. I never got to tell her how I felt about her. To tell her, that I loved her. That I wanted to spend all eternity with her.
To hold her in my arms and tell her that everything would be alright during the hard times. I never told her.
"Why?" I asked myself. She should've never had to go through what she did. It may have been for the best, but how was I supposed to live with that? If I knew what was to happen, the least I could've done was to go through it with her. I loved her.
Life was simply not worth living anymore. I was dying inside. I know that Aeris wants me to move on. To forget about her. I can feel it. But how could I ever forget about her? She wanted me to go have a life with Tifa. I know that Tifa loves me, and I love her. But not in that way. Not like how I feel about Aeris. Tifa was just a friend.
The only thing that makes me feel better, is the thought, that we will be together again, one day in her Promised Land. Together forever. I will be waiting, as she also waits for me.
In her Promised Land.
