Roxas blinked at his angry lover, finding Namine's state to be a bit...perilous since she was alwas in a good mood. Namine crossed her arms tightly on her chest, her cheery pinks lips curved into a small pout and Namine's once soft gentle eyes turned into that of irritation.
The boy could easily tell that she wasn't just angry. Namine was livid. And honestly, it was really out of character even for someone like her.
"I don't understand..." Roxas started. "You had a fight with Kairi because...?"
"Because she said the ending of Titanic is acceptable." Namine lowered down her head. Her eyes shadowed with sadness. Roxas blinked naively at that.
He tried not to laugh.
"Over such a small matt-"
"It's not a small matter, Roxas." she gently interjected. It made the boy quiet for a moment as he waited for the girl to continue. "It's just...I think...sacrificing yourself for someone important is selfish. Why die if you can live and fight for them?" Namine murmured, her fingers prodding against her palms.
"Didn't you do the same thing too?"
At Roxas's voice, Namine abruptly looked up to face him. His words stung her deep, but not deep enough to stir her.
"Everyone will do the same thing. They won't think twice when it comes to protect those that are important to them."
Then slowly, Roxas smiled at the girl with silky blonde hair. "But really? All of this, just because of the movie Titanic?" this time, Roxas did laugh. His hands on his midsection to control his laughter.
Namine huffed. "You don't have to laugh." despite her slight harsh tone, there was a trace of jubilation in her voice.
"Maybe next time we should watch Human Centipede." Roxas suggested.
The horrified look on Namine's face lasted for a week. She was so not going to agree to her lover's movie suggestion anymore.
