Title: Moonlit Cherry Blossoms
Author: Ziri Okamiotoko
Ratings: PG-13 for (lack of) suggestiveness
Disclaimer: I wrote this because I could. Because nobody wrote any good fics for the erstwhile lover of our pink-haired kunoichi. And I thought that needed to be remedied, because he's better than most people think. So, this is my fic to spite you all.

When she woke up, it was still dark outside. The moon shone through the curtains with a gentle blue glow. Smiling contentedly, she rolled onto her side, burying herself deeper into the comforters. She was safe here, and it made her happier than she'd felt in a long time. Soft mutterings broke the silence, and Sakura gazed up at her bedmate. His lips formed a small pout in his sleep, and his brow was furrowed slightly. Dark lashes contrasting his pale skin, mirrored by his hair fanned out across the pillowcase. Sakura smiled indulgently, running a finger down his forehead and over his nose, eventually caressing his cheek with the back of her hand.
The tension in his face melted at her touch, the pout replaced with a contented smile. He sighed and held her close, nuzzling her pale locks. Even in his sleep, she could feel the strength in his touch, the way the muscles moved beneath his skin. Lying wrapped up in his arms as she was, she felt secure. It was a new feeling for her, but it was addictive. Just like he was. She had never been quite sure what it was that attracted her so much. Pressing her forehead against his chest, she listened to him breathe, his heartbeat thrumming against her forehead. Closing her eyes, Sakura began to drift back to sleep, breathing in his scent one more time. Soap, herbs, and the forest, her green shinobi...
She awoke to his warm dark gaze, he was looking her like that again. The same look that had caught her the first time. The loving gaze, the slightest hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips, adding to the slight flush on his cheeks could liquefy her core. With that look he could turn her into a speechless, blushing idiot. He ran his fingers through her hair, focusing intently on the feel of it. His eyes met hers and she smiled shyly.
"Good morning, Sakura-chan. Did you sleep well?" his voice was hushed, far from his usual loud, vibrant energy. She nodded.
"Mmm, what about you?" He smiled, wide eyes closing briefly. He nuzzled her hair as his arms wrapped around her again, one hand at her waist, the other stroking her spine.
"I've never slept better." Lee murmered into her hair. Sakura smiled, pressing her forehead to his chest. It was going to be a good day.
