Avenger sighed as he watched Spyro fly away with Sirona, who's cries could be heard until they disappeared from sight.
He felt it.
He felt his entire being pulse with overflowing energy, and the extreme pain that followed.
'Are you ready to go?'
Aether. The very lifeblood of the universe was speaking to him. It did the same as he absorbed it, and it also did when he put down Malefor in that strange vortex of Aether.
Avenger's eyes, tinted purple from the Aether within him, began to exude a light purple flame.
"Yes... I think so..."
The voice. The voice of a young woman, and at the same time, the voice of the universe itself, it's will, it's love, it's hate, it's everything.
'Then let me sing you to your sleep...'
Then he heard it. A beautiful melody, with every voice in the universe singing to him.
Purple energy flowed around Avenger. He stood up, leaning against the rock he had sat against.
He looked at his hand. The hand that ended Malefor, the hand that would no longer exist after this night.
He realised something then. As his hand exuded people energy from under the wrappings.
"I don't want to go..."
The universe seemed to nod. It knew he wished to live, and he would, as his body was disposable.
But his memories of this place. Those were not. He would never forget how he shaped the entire life of a young soul, going on to be greater than anything her species could ever produce.
He screamed as the energy forced his body into a T pose, expelling untold amounts of power
'Farewell Avenger... Vale Propinquus.'
The power burst into the sky, consuming the man. It stretched into space, funnling out into the cosmos.
It was a statement, no, a goodbye. His promise that this world would live on, and so would everything else while he was around.
The energy was seen across the universe. A light that dwarfed every sun in every galaxy.
It fed into the planet, finishing the healing process started by Spyro.
Then the planet overflowed, and the energy burst forth from Avenger even more, becoming a beam of great energy.
The very universe convulsed.
It was the end of a great man, one so great that even the will of existance itself lashed out in furious mourning.
A testament to the man whose rage unleashed such a force that even the whole of the dark elements could not withstand.
The man who killed the Immortal Darkness.
The Avenger of the innocent.
The Avenger of the Cosmos.
The Savior
