First off, I'M BACK PEOPLES! :D Also, I'm soooooooooo sorry for the many a month of you guys waiting for this story in edit. Didn't you know 'soon' truly meant 'a very long time?' There wasn't a day I haven't thought of this story, I swear my life on that fact. Luna, Libby, Kiki, (random) guest, zXFallenAngelsXz, PandaPuppet, Ambient Dawn, and Cupcake Know-It-All (OMG that's a awesome username :D) for reviewing my first story on FanFiction. zXFallenAngelsXz, thank you for being my first reviewer and helping me with it and all that jazz. And Cupcake Know-It-All, you're the main reason for this chapter for being posted TODAY! Your comment told me at least SOMEONE wanted me to truly continue, and I (maybe) grinned like a fool reading it. ;) My A/N will continue at the end of this chapter, and without further ado... I OWN NOTHING BUT MY OWN CHARACTERS, 'TIS ALL!
A gentle yet cool breeze brushed past me, causing me to shiver once more. I've been out for what seemed like hours. Maybe it was, maybe it was five simple minutes and I'm once again over exaggerating, who knows. Not me, that's for sure. All I know is the fact I randomly woke up in the middle of a forest, wearing nothing but my Hello Kitty PJs. Don't judge me, I like Hello Kitty, and that's that. Just because I'm twelve years old doesn't mean you all of the sudden hate on Hello Kitty. No. Not me.
Let's just get this over with so you don't have to wait impatiently like I would if I was in your state. My name is Rebecca Smith. Simple name, really. Nothing much to it, it's me. I am an impatient tall girl, standing at about 5' 6". I have emerald-colored eyes and long, curly brown hair, reaching my mid-back, and pale skin. I have a soft spot for sweets, hate vegetables, am a night owl, and have a great dislike for hot weather. I'm more of a cat person, once having a fear of dogs since an early age. Don't ask me why. Dogs are hyper and want to play with you all the time. I'm not like that. I've been called a kitten, cute yet will scratch your face. Other's words, not mine.
Getting back to the main point, I'm stuck in the middle of the woods wandering around, looking for who knows what. Good thing I like to wear socks to bed, or else I would want to slap myself. The first thing I remember was reading Vol. 1 of Shugo Chara, going to bed, feeling cold, waking up, and here I am. Ugh. First things first, don't die. Wait. I truly am stupid, aren't I? Shouldn't that be the first thing at all times to keep in my mind? More than likely, yes, it is. Ok, I got this. Oh, look, there's a path up ahead, maybe I'll live after all (or get killed by a mad person...)!
Running towards the path, at least I thought it was, I looked right in front of me. No way. Nu-uh. Nope. An observatory, just like the one in the... I need to get a life. Focus, Rebecca! A KEEP OUT sign was placed with chains, greatly reminding me to keep out. I have my moments. A giant door loomed in front of me, atop of it a moon and a star close together. Yep, I've lost it. Then again, I woke up in a freaking forest, anything can happen. Stepping even closer, I finally decided to walk inside, though something stopped me. I looked towards the ground, shocked as can be.
There were two eggs, one pure black and the other pure white. The black one had the white side of the Yin-Yang on it, while the other had the black part. Ok, let me get this straight. I somehow got sucked into a made up world, and gave 'birth' to two eggs? I can live with that. Wait, that also means, I can never see my family and friends again, whom I love? A tear sled down my cheek without my consent. Sniffling, I bent down and picked up both of the eggs, the white in my left hand the black one in my right hand. Rising up from the position, I stared at both of the eggs for a while or so.
Putting both of them in my PJ pockets (yes, I have pockets randomly for usage), I walked to the door until I was right in front of it. Pushing the doors, I walked inside the dark place, and shut the doors behind me, leaving an eerie silence I hated. I started to walk forward, waiting for Tsukasa to come out at some point. The darkness went away as there was some ounce of light in the room. "Ah, it's been quite a while since I've received visitors." I flinched, not yet ready to hear someone's voice right next to me. "Uh, er, hello, sir. I got lost, and I wonder if you would be able to help me. I am...afraid I'm not from around here." Turning around, I saw him, just as I imagined.
He had blonde hair framing his face, along with his dull reddish eyes. He was quite handsome, I admit that. Smiling, he told me, "Those who are lost seem to wander and end up here. Perhaps you know why, perhaps you don't. Though you do need my help, that I can tell. Come, let us sit over there. It's a great spot to view the stars. If you don't want to tell me why you're wearing that attire, it's perfectly fine." Ignoring my bewildered expression, he walked ahead of me, walking towards the spot he said was a great place to view the stars. I knew what he was like, but, wow.
Following him and sitting next to wear he was sitting, I noticed how truly comfortable these chairs were. They were soft and cushy, leaning my back like a bed of some sort. As we both looked up towards the stars, he asked me something I was that surprised in him asking. "Which star is your favorite? By the way, my name is Tsukasa, though you already knew that. What's yours, if I may ask?" Wha?! I swear, he truly does know everything! Ok, Rebecca, keep your cool, you'll need it.
"Uh, my name is Rebecca. As for the star, well..." I trailed off, looking towards the starry sky. There were bright glowing stars, dim ones, and ones that practically sparkled like true diamonds. Though I noticed a very very dim light, a light someone else could've easily missed, far off in the corner, unnoticed and lonely. "That one, far off in the corner, though you can hardly see it." Tsukasa looked over to me, smiled, and asked another question. "Why that star? Surely there are other's far more bright and shimmering than that one." Knowing he truly just wanted to know my reason more than any other reason, I responded a response that would change my life forever. "Though it seems dimmer than all the rest, it could be the brightest of them all. The brightest could be the dimmest, and is simply closer for us to see. Maybe the other stars grew jealous, and hid it away from the world, so they could outshine it. I love that star, because in truth, it could be the brightest, and no one would ever know."
Tsukasa smiled brightly, more brightly than before, apparently pleased with my answer. "Good answer, Rebecca. Good answer indeed."
As I promised, this A/N shall continue. I really hope I didn't make Tsukasa too OC. :( I attemped at his character, and (hopefully) did a good job at doing it. If you guys still want me to continue this story, please review. It'll make me happy. The more reviews, the faster I'll update and the chance of updating. I won't let you guys down again (I'll attempt, remember that)! :D I also hope you like my character, Rebecca Smith. I pictured her was a sarcastic girl who has her moments of wisdom, yet is still a child at heart (in a way). You'll learn more about the soon-to-be charas, as well as more of Rebecca's adventures! Only if you review. 'Til we meet again, random special reader! ;D
