In Equestria, Rarity was displaying some new hats she made. Sam was dazzled, Betty Ann, Kiki, Frank, Tucker, Lilo, and Gary. Mario and Luigi came to spend some Celestian Alliance time. As they were looking at the hats, Spike as doing some dragon-breath marshmallow cooking, when he accidentally burned Mario's hat, "Oops" he said.
They turned around to see a white top hat appear out of nowhere. They wondered if she made it, but she didn't "What?" everyone asked as the hat became ghostly.
"Wow" Tucker smiled, "A moving, talking hat.
"I'm Cappy of the Cap Kingdom." the cap greeted, "I just escaped from that place."
"Escape?" Gary asked.
"Familiar with King Bowser?" Cappy asked.
"Yeah," Lilo recalled, "Ruler of the Koopa Kingdom, mortal enemy of Mario."
"Exactly." Cappy replied, "He just seized control of the place and made everyone their slaves. They also took my little sister, "Tiara"
"What would they want with her?" Kiki asked.
"He's using her as a headdress for Peach's veil," Cappy answered.
"Wait a minute," Sam said, "The letter"
Sam got out the letter from 'Peach' that had cutouts from a magazine.
Dear Mario
I can't come with you to see Rarity's new hats.
I uh, had to rearrange my tiaras
and clearly not going to get married to Bowser,
Love, Peach.
"People always use magazine articles to hide their handwriting." Betty Ann recalled.
"Not to mention they used the phrase, 'Clearly Not' meaning that they are doing something," Twilight replied.
"Awful handwriting" Stitch replied as he stuck his tongue out.
"Don't worry Cappy." Lilo said, "We'll get your sister back.
"Well," Rarity said, "First we need to fix up Mario's hat after Spike accidentally burned it."
"It was an accident," Spike replied.
"No prob" Cappy said as he turned into a hat similar to Mario's.
"Now that that's handled," Lilo said, "Let's move."
