Scars run across his body like roads on a map.
They've been caused by so many things.
Guns. Knives. Burns. Blunt trauma. Electricity. Arrows. Spears. Even acid.
Sometimes he notices one in the shower and remembers where he got it.
Other times he doesn't know.
They follow no pattern, but these scars are easy to see, if you know where to look.
But there are also those that can't be seen.
They've been caused by other things.
And there is one, above them all.
One he remembers from a sound, a sight, or a smell.
His favorite scar.
Bittersweet.
