Hi the names Snakeeye12 and this is my first fan fiction story...technically my second but my first one was a failed project. LOL I hope you enjoy.

'Thoughts'

"Words Spoken"

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto

There are many turning points throughout life. They come when you least expect it. These events throw you into confusion and despair. During these times you often experience growth and ponder about your life so far. Thus, you look inside yourself and think about what type of person you want to become and why. You discover that life is not fun and games, it's a battlefield where you have to do anything in your power to survive. You can't rely on your childish mannerism to help…thus you grow up.

A promise of a life time…this phase kept on chiming in his head. He really wanted to save Sasuke but in the end he couldn't save his best friend. His mission was a failure, and he had to face the person that he admired with shame.

'Sakura, I tried so hard. I wanted to bring him back to you. I wanted to do something right for a change.' His thought was interrupted by a familiar voice.

"So, your finally awake, Naruto. I was scared that I lost my number one knuckle headed ninja." Naruto was shaken up by the voice. He was so caught up with his thoughts that he didn't notice his surroundings. Naruto was traveling on his sensei's back towards Konoha the village hidden in the leaves; his home.

"Oh…hey Kakashi Sensei" Naruto responded with a weak whimper. It was unlike him to let anything get him down. But this was different. He let down the people he cared for greatly. His teammates put their lives on the line to bring back the Uchiha and his defeat resulted in the failure of the mission. Many questions popped into his head. Most were of the negative kind.

'Will everybody hate me now? Why am I so weak? Damn it, why can't I do anything right?' His assault at his ego continued all the way back to the village. Kakashi couldn't say anything to cheer up the blonde boy. Naruto was always a kid full of pride and always fulfilled his promises. The white haired Jonin never had this type of problem with Naruto. He always thought that the boy had the same amount of confidence and determination as his chakra. This was new to him and his only respond was that of silence.

'Was all my training for nothing? Am I just a child pretending to be a ninja? I have to change. NO! I will change! Damn it, I have to get stronger, I have to get smarter,…I have to grow up!'

I will try to update but I can't promise you that it will be quick. I'm a lazy person.
