Just A Day

Disclaimer: I don't own ReBoot or anything associated with it....I am also poor!! Poor I tell you!!
It was a normal day in Mainframe, though there was a certain lack of bad things
happening, it was a nice chance to relax for the Booters. Each of them were about doing
random things, and the current threat seemed as far away and hard to touch as the clouds
gracing the pixelized sky. Bob and Matrix were a particular pair that were sitting, not in
the Principal office, but at the park on a bench. The cheery sunlight seemed to warm
them as they sat silently, really there was not much to say.
Something seemed to be communicated between the both of them as they sat on
the bench. That the sunlight, the warm breezes and the slow pace would soon be only a
thing to remember. They would have to fight for their lives, for what they believed in,
and it can be understood that neither of them were sure if they could win. Even a
guardian with a stout heart of gold and a rogue with the ages of experience can fall to the
smallest threat; but this threat was not small, and it would take all they could muster to be
able to hold their heads high for the free system.
Some would die that was true, some would die, others would grieve, and more
would live on in their place. But none of that seemed to matter at the moment, for now
the silence and the contemplation was enough.
A readied glance was all it really took, as well as a shrug, before the two
companions got lazily off the bench and maximized their zip-board. It was time to enjoy
the day while it was. Just a day.
