Riku laid Kairie gently on the couch. She was so light, the air had no difference when held, his brow furrowed, she wouldn't eat. He was much more worried than he led on, with gentle, precise movements he threw a light blanket over Kairi and sat swiftly in the upholstered chair. Steep ling his fingers and catching his chin in them, he stared at Kairi. Her shoulder length, layered hair hung in wisps around her baby-cheeks, her large, child-like eyes were shut, the lashes brushing her white cheeks. Her clothes had dulled slightly in color but still held that odd resemblance to Soras. He caught his knees and dragged them up to his chest; he wouldn't be caught dead in this position with anyone else. He smiled bitterly, and brushed a light strand from his face. "Kairi?" he whispered, knowing she wouldn't answer but still wishing anyways. "I-I wanted you to know, t-that I'm trying as hard as I can and I'm going to get your heart back, or die trying, " he paused, the right words seemed to evade him. "I can see you smiling in my dreams. I want that smile. I need it. Please-please, Ill do anything to see you smile again." His begging went unanswered every night. No answer greeted his expectant ears, only the slow, grateful breath. He bit his lip and cursed loudly as tears poured down his cheeks. "Why am I so upset? Kairi, you can help me. Please come back. I-I love you." He bit his lip, sending a rain of blood to his chin. He rocked, scared and alone, wanting Kairi to suddenly wake up and smile, dismissing her whole missing heart as a 'childish joke'. Riku wanted her to say that more than anything. Keeping up with my charade, keeping up my mask of hatred. Bitterness."Why?" he rasped, jumping from his seat, agile as a cat, he jumped to Kairis side. He grabbed her hand. "Whyyy?!" he wailed loudly, pain and anger apparent on his face. He hunkered down by Kairi and whimpered, afraid. Kairis hand moved, he jumped, but it went up to his face and caressed it once, unhappily dropping back to Kairis side, leaving Riku staring at Kairis face, a smile for him on her lips. Eh, was that fun? it..just...came. LOVELy Riku!He SOOO perty!
