At 5am the X5's woke up and got dress for a new day at Manticore. They formed into two straight lines. They waited behind the Door for Lydecker to ordered them to the mess hall.
They march to the mess hall to eat breakfast. Max stared at the window. She sees a small person in a distance. After they ate they marched outside for outside training. Max made her pupils larger and saw a small boy playing in the woods. Max tapped Tinga's back. She directed her attention toward the boys. Then Tinga saw a boy behind the perimeter fence. The guards brought out a nomolie. The children stepped back. Lydecker came out.
"If you make it out of the perimeter you're free, if not you're dead. Take this Knife."
The nomolie ran into the woods.
"GO," He ordered the X5's to get him.
He tripped over a rock. As the nomolise got up, he is surrounded by kids. Max and the other children killed him. Max and Tinga ran over to the perimeter fence. The boy began to speak.
"Why are you attacking that innocent man?"
Max began to whispher."He's a nomolie, are you an X-series?"
"What's a nomolie and what is an X-series?"
"Nomolie is a bad monster and you are an outsider."
"Me? I'm not an outsider."
Then the boy paused and saw the man brutally murdered.
"Why did you kill that man, hasn't your mother taught you never kill someone?"
"What is a mother?"
"What's wrong with you, you have to have a mother."
Tinga stepped into the conversation.
"Max we have to leave, Lydecker will find us, he would get very mad if we are near the perimeter." Max walked away with Tinga.
