"James, will you please stop jumping around? It's making me dizzy." I said, lying in my bed. My friend stopped, but, despite my closed eyes, I could feel his grin in the air.
"She likes me! Lily likes me, Moony!" He seemed a kid that had just discovered he could eat anything he wanted from the candy store. I felt my bed shift and opened my eyes. Prongs was hovering over me. "What should I do?"
Sirius, on the other side of the room, scoffed.
"Go and talk to her already, Prongs. What are you waiting for? She falling in your lap as a gift of gods?" James got this strange dreamy look on his face and I had to roll my eyes. My friend could be such an idiot sometimes.
"It's not happening, James." I said. "Go down to the common room, if I know her well, Lily might be studying there." He beamed, getting up quickly and grabbing his cloak.
"I'll take her to the lake and ask her..." He stopped and looked at me. "What should I ask her?" His worried expression made me laugh. Sirius barked.
"You'll figure it out when you're already there! Now, go! So you can date, get married and build a great big family of Lilys and Jamesies!" Padfoot said, pushing James to the staircase. Thank God, he was starting to give me a headache. I love my friends and I'm incredibly happy for Prongs and Lily, but I'm still recovering from the full moon.
James stopped and turned to us, a look of happiness and uncertainty in his face.
"It's a bit early to ask her to marry me, isn't it?" I tried my best not to roll my eyes.
"Yes, Prongs, it is. Stick to Hogsmeade for now."
And, with a wave of goodbye, he ran downstairs. Padfoot turned to me.
"Why would you say that? I wanted to know what her reaction to his proposal would be!"
Sirius grunted the rest of the night about me being an abusive violent friend that liked to throw pillows when it was completely unnecessary.
I hope you liked this. Please, check my other fics.
