This was a request and I'm so sorry it's taken so long for me to get up. I'm also so sorry that it's so short but I really struggled with this for some reason. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.

She sits at the bottom of the stairs, her eyes locked on the front door and her heart pounding as she waits from the familiar sound of his key in the lock. Her left hand is pressed against her stomach as the other grips into the bannister. Today is the day she's been waiting for, the day she's been counting down to ever since she found out the news. Today is the day that he comes home. The sound of the key in the lock fills the room and she jumps up as the door slowly begins to open. Within minutes he's standing in front of her; her heart breaks at the look of exhaustion and grief on his face as he grips his bag.

'Charles!' She says rushing towards him. Instantly he drops his bag and tightly wraps his arms around her.

'Oh Mols...' He almost whispers as his shoulders begin to shake.

'Hey, I've got you... You're home now.' She says softly.

'I just can't believe he's gone, Mols.' He admits shaking his head as she tightens her arms around him.

'It's okay, Charles... You don't have to be strong anymore; you're not with two section. You're with me.' She says feeling his body instantly relax as he lets his guard down.

'It was awful, Molly. Every time I close my eyes I see him just lying there, I hear Georgie sobbing as she tried to revive him. I just- I can't stop it from playing over and over again.' He admits, tears streaming down his cheeks.

'Oh Charles…' She says and he shakes his head.

'I don't know how to stop it. I don't know how to fix things. How do I help Georgie and everyone else through this when I can't even help myself?' He asks.

'You are allowed to grieve, Charles. You need time to get your head around what's happened because what happened out there was awful and it's understandable if you're finding it a little hard to cope with. I'm here and I'm always going to be here.' She says softly.

'I love you.' He mumbles burying his head in the crook of her neck.

'I love you too.' She whispers.
