A small figure watched from a distance, a smile curling her lips despite the pain she was in. The one who held her attention chuckled alongside his friend, but mostly held himself back. She sighed softly, looking down at her hands before shaking her head.

Many would say that it was stupid of her to keep her distance, that it would be better for her to just approach her best friend and tell him. She knew though, that he would never feel the same as her, he had a life ahead of him. She would still be here in town, taking care of her baby sister come years, he could be out exploring the world, finding some exotic woman to marry.

The girl sighed, brushing a long black curl out of her face tiredly. Her long black hair had been pulled up into butterfly shaped braids with a few curls left loose to frame her face. Her father had been ashamed to find that his daughter was following the old traditions she had been taught by her godfather, but she had held her ground on the matter. She was the Heiress of the Black family, and that meant she followed their rules. She and her little sister wouldn't receive anything other than a dowry from the Potter family because they were a Patriarchal family. The Black family normally was Patriarchal but at times had been led by a female.

She bit her lower lip, wondering if she should enter the cafe where her friends were at, but decided against it, seeing her best friend wrap his arm around one of the girls he was sitting with. She bit her lower lip, feeling tears well up in her eyes.

Her best friend's blonde hair teased his forehead as he spoke to the group he sat with, shadowing over his silver eyes. His eyes were locked with the black Italian he sat with, oblivious to her stare. Pansy Parkinson looked up and met her eyes, making the other heiresses eyes widen in horror. The Black heiress shook her head at the other girl, a finger coming up to cover her lips.

Pansy bit her lower lip, hesitantly nodding her head as the Black Heiress smiled in thanks. She turned on her heel and as a violent cough wracked her body, making her cover her mouth with her hands. When she pulled them back her eyes widened, despair written all over her face. Anemone littered the palms of her hands, and she knew that things would never be the same. Her hands shook as she stared in disbelief at the petals that littered her hands before turning and running away. The only sign that she had been standing there were the Anemone petals that littered the ground.

Artemis: so guys this is something I came up with while bored and my friend looked it over for me. She's my Beta and an author on here though she's afraid to post her own work. So thanks Vanibean for reading this over for me and helping me get this ready! I do not know if I will continue this story as its just something that I was messing around with while writing the next chapter of Arcane Academy

Also please note I am working on Arcane Academy for Magyk if you have read that story of mine I'm just having a few problems writing the next chapter. It will hopefully be up in the next week though.

Till next time. Also if you have questions about Hanahaki you can Google the disease it's a fake disease that you can use for your own plot line.

Artemis~
