Okay, I've never written a poem before in my life outside of those that I HAD to do for school, and I'm not sure where this one came from, but here is my attempt at a poemfic. It just sorta came to me while I was sitting in bed at my Dad's with no power because of that stupid windstorm. I haven't had power for two days! No computer, no stereo, no NOTHING! You never know what you have until it's gone...But it's back on now, so it's all good!
Kakashi held Iruka safe in his arms
Letting him slumber away
Hoping the clock won't sound its alarm
The moment forever delayed.
.
"What would I do without you, my dolphin?"
He asked the man snuggling his chest.
"You're so sweet and kind, incapable of sin,
So different from the rest."
.
Kakashi watched the brunette silently sleep,
His red, pouting lips slightly parted.
"If he knew how I saw him, he'd call me a creep,
And a game would soon be started."
.
Gently he caressed his cheek
To cunningly try to wake him.
Along his jaw and down his beak
The wandering finger did trace him.
.
Slowly the teacher began to stir
From the elder's careful attentions
Opening his eyes, Iruka unwittingly concurred
With the jounin's earlier predictions.
.
"I have to work tomorrow, Kakashi,"
Iruka whispered into the quiet.
"Please, go to sleep and let me be.
No kissing or tickling, just top it."
.
"Tousled is your hair and your body warm.
How can I, Ruru, when you look so delicious?
Don't you enjoy it when I perform?
For once, my love, be lascivious."
.
The younger man let out a sigh.
Eminent, he knew, was his defeat.
"Why do I even try?" he asked
The man he'd never once beat.
.
"I don't know, my precious Ruru-kun,
You're really being quite silly.
Anyway, you'll have to get up soon
So why not entertain me?"
.
"I'm really rather tired, my love.
Work is so exhausting.
But no matter how I push or shove
You'll just come back a-knocking."
.
"You should take it as a compliment.
You're my drug; my unbeatable addiction.
I might as well move into your apartment.
Already, I live here on one condition."
.
"And what condition is that, my pet?
No masturbating on the couch?
You can use the bathroom to cool your jet
And don't look at me like I'm being a grouch!"
.
"Ah, my Ruru, my cute, cuddly lover…
I haven't had to masturbate since I was a teen!
And though I know you were just being clever,
Your sarcastic condition isn't the one I mean."
.
"Then which, pray tell?
I'm dying to know.
Which term is it, to you, I must sell?
Tell me, my dear, my curiosity does grow."
.
"Perhaps you just want to hear me say it?
Or do you really not know what I must do?
The simple task to which I must commit
Is meaning the words, 'Iruka, I love you.'"
I feel like Dr.Seuss. I don't know why, but it just doesn't feel like a poem to me unless it rhymes. Or at least poems I write myself doesn't seem like poems unless they rhyme. Hope it wasn't too terrible. It was kinda three in the morning when I was writing it, so...yeah. I also can't believe I'm such a hopeless romantic...Review please?
