Chicago, IL

6:00 AM

Sasha Holloway sat on the roof of her apartment, typing away at her keyboard. "Shit, someone's hacking me. I coulda sworn I patched those software vulnerabilities last week!" She muttered to herself, climbing off the roof, and actively searching the streets for the person responsible for the intrusion. A message flashed across her screen, and she stopped to read it. "We are DedSec. We've been closely monitoring you, and we need someone of your skills. Your initiation is two days away. Get to San Francisco, and we'll brief you. In the meantime, we've granted you temp access to our channels. Oh, and we've updated your root kit as well. DedSec out." When Sasha reached the end of the message, her phone composed itself and went back to normal. "Ah, damn. Now I've gotta haul ass out to Silicon Valley? Well, sorry Chicago, but I'm leavin' ya." She said, getting onto a bus headed to the nearest airport. She attempted to pay for her fare, but the bus's ctOS framework flagged her profile as being potentially dangerous, so she was denied and sent off the bus. "Hey! That's not fair! Ugh...you cause one SMALL explosion in this town..." She then tied her laces on her high tops, inserted her earbuds, and loaded up her playlists as she ran through the city, vaulting and using parkour to scale fences in her way. She then walked past the WKZ Building, and noticed the flashiest sports car she had ever seen. That'd make things SO much easier right now, She thought, What've I got to lose? She snuck into the building by means of a skylight, and paused her entry so she could listen in on the press conference for the car. "595 Horsepower, Fast...Keyless entry..." A voice said. "Keyless entry? Yes!" She whispered, as she gracefully landed on her feet inside the building, about two hallways away from the car. "Got the game on lock like we changed the keys," She whispered, referencing her favorite lyrics from her favorite rap song. She was just about to dash for the car, when a guard made the unfortunate move of deciding to check the room Sasha had been hiding in, under a desk, as she was short, and it was a large desk. "This is the Umeni Security Force, come out with your hands up!" The guard said, pointing his gun toward the desk. Nope!, She thought, sticking her foot out from under the desk to trip the guard, then knocking him out and stealing his taser. "Score!" She whispered, advancing to the next room, clearing the two guards with ease due to her expert gun-handling abilities.

"Come to mama," Sasha said, remotely unlocking the car's doors and starting the engine as she got inside. "Time to make a SMASH!" She said, driving the car out through the front window and speeding off toward California, on a journey that would take her little above just a day in the hybrid sports car.
