The TARDIS, a blue box that is bigger on the inside, a place with sprawling corridors and and mismatched rooms. It is said that a person's eyes are the windows to their soul, but I think their room paints a picture of who they truly are. Their hopes dreams and passions, what they value, what they don't.

River"s room is a large room with cream walls lit by a large window which shines shafts of brightness around the room.

All you can see out that window is the sky, ever-changing, ever brightening. Some days it is lit with the purple sheen of an alien sun, other days it is the baby blue sky and white gold clouds of earth.

On the wall adjacent to this window is a large cream bed surrounded by a dark wood frame.

On the bed are sheets tightly fitted with an unearthly softness and three small dolls. One of her mother with soft red hair made out of wool. One of her father dressed in Roman garb complete with sword and one of the Doctor with eyes of small round buttons tightly stitched.

Next to the bed is a small round table, on the table is a small bag. She is ready to go at a moment's notice.

If you were to walk through another door you to find a large and beautiful ensuite bathroom.

The bath was sunken into the floor and looks like it was made out of bright white mother-of-pearl. This substance in fact is a psychic substance that comes from the crystal cave's of Seraphan which adjusts the water temperature is the most suitable temperature for the being inside it.

As well as this the substance if focused on one specific being it begins to change the environment to to suit the person inside it.

When River is inside her bath she can pretend that none of this happened that the silence hadn't kidnapped her that that she'd grown up as a child not a soldier . But she reminds herself, she controls her fate and she chose long ago not to be controlled by others.

A/N Hi everyone! This is my very first story. I guess that's rather exciting, but as its my first story it's likely to need improving, so what can I improve?

I'm going to continue these with some more companions and other rooms in the TARDIS.

Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed it.
