The Second Day
It had already been a day since I left the house and still no sign of shadow anywhere I have been looking all night and now I'm lost here in the forest of all places that's great! How am I the great sonic stuck here of all places you ask…the water the nearby river flooded from all the rain we have been getting and god knows I'm not going anywhere near that stuff so I'm stuck out here it the water goes down. I walked around for what seemed like hours before I came across a small house in the middle of the forest I went to the door and looked into the door window…it didn't seem like anyone was home and it looked pretty much abandoned so I went ahead and helped myself in, I opened the door and peeked in "um…hello?" absolute silence "I'm gonna come in ok?" I stepped inside and shut the door behind me…it was way too dark to see anything what so ever so I felt my way around the room till I found a candle and luckily enough a match next to it, I lite the candle and saw I was in a small living room there was a table for a maximum of two people a couch a fire place and a chair I looked off to the side to see a bed room and to the other side of me a bathroom when I looked behind me it was a small kitchen "wow nice place but looks kinda lonely…" I thought again of shadow having to be out there all only as I felt something to the back of my head "turn around slowly or I'll pull the trigger" I did as the man behind me told me to and I saw nothing but the gun went down "sonic why the hell are you here?" as the candle flickered I saw it was shadow and it took all I had not to jump at him and give him a big hug "I can ask you the same thing you know?" he moved away from the candle light to the living room lighting the fire place and the room became bright with a dim light and I saw him in a brown rain coat "you know all the roads are flooded right?" I gave a sigh "yea I came in here to get out of the rain" I suddenly realized I was freezing. He hung his coat and came over to the fire "go get a warm shower you'll die of cold if you stay dipping wet like that you know?" I shrugged as if I didn't care and went to the bath room. After the shower I came out and sat in the chair while shadow laid out on the couch, it was a long and awkward silence till shadow finally spoke up "so why where you out here?" I felt a lump in my throat and my face become red with embarrassment, I didn't want him to know I came out here for him "uh I came out for run…yea I hate having to stay in one place for too long you know?" I gave a little awkward laugh and he rolled his eyes "figures even in this weather your mine is still dead set on running" if only you knew shadow. I tapped my foot "so is this where you have been at all week?" he closed his eyes as if the talk was making him sleep "yep I just had to get away from it all I just left it's not as if anyone really cares and I like it that way" I wanted to beat him up right there for saying that but hey then it would just be pointless fighting to him "what where your bored while I was gone?" my face flushed and I stood "no way! I was doing just fine without you so eh!" I stuck out my tongue and he sighed "you're just like a kid" I sat down ignoring that comment "well I'm stuck here now so get use to my kiddieness" he sighed "I would chaos control you home but the weather is messing with it for some reason" I sat back "big storm I guess" he stood and went to the bed room door "you can have the couch so good night" he went into the room and shut the door "…good night" I laid down on the couch wafting in the scent left by him as I fell asleep.
