"Hey Jules! Wanna play truth or dare?"

"No Shawn! Can't you see I'm busy?" as she looked up from her desk.
"Well you're almost done. Here I'll help you finish."
He then proceeded to sit down and help when she said," Fine but make it quick"
"Okay quick is my middle name!"
"No it's not"
"Of course it is Jules!"
"Whatever"
"I'll go first. What's your favorite colour?"
"Green"
"Really?"
"Yep okay now me. What's your favorite colour?"
"Green"
"Right…"
"No really! Ok... Favorite 80s movie?"
"Pretty in Pink"
"Me too!"
"Is this your way of flirting with me? Just yesterday you said Hairspray and last week you said Falcon Crest"
"No I'm not flirting with you…well maybe a little, but my favorite 80s movie changes every day pretty much."
"Sure. What's your favorite ice cream flavor?"
"Pineapple with pineapple on top"
"Gross"
"Not gross"
"Whatever"
"I'm not lying to you. Favorite author?"
"Sarah Dessen"
"Eww romance novels"
"How'd you know that?"
"Umm…"
"Busted"
"No Gus read them!"
"Sure he did"
"He did…and I did too"
She laughed as she said, "If you had a girl's name what would it be?"
"Juliet"
She froze.
"Okay who did you have your longest relationship with?"
"Probably this guy named Alex" she said shaking herself out of her shock. "How about you?"
"Abigail" HE SAID STIFFLY (sorry went to caps lock by accident!), "But I didn't really like her after a few days anyway"
"Oh…."
"Okay here's mine Will you go out with me?"
"Shawn…"
"Please?"
"I'm sorry but you just told me that after a few days with Abigail you got sick of her! And that's just gonna be me to!"
"No Jules it's-"
"How can I know that? You've gone out with tons of girls and they lasted for sometimes less than a day!"
"But Jules…"
"That's my final answer Shawn"
She stood up to leave and walked toward the door.
"No Jules wait!"
She turned around.
"The reason I didn't like Abigail after a few days is because it wasn't you! And all those girls I went out with were to get my mind off you because I knew you'd never like me! and that day at the theatre! I felt terrible! I wanted to go out with you but then I couldn't cause that would be mean and-" he was interrupted by her flinging her arms around him.
"Oh Shawn I'm so sorry! I didn't know!"
"It's okay Jules"
"No really! I'm sorry-"
"No really it's okay" he said grinning.
He leaned forward and their lips met in the middle of the empty police station.
