Saix's POV

"Nine." He did not appear.

"Nine!" Still nothing. Fine.

"Demyx!" This time I merited a response.

"Y-yes, Saix?" he stammered. He avoided my gaze as I noticed most did.

"I have acquired information that you have been plotting, to much of our dismay." I said smoothly.

"Huh?" he blinked.

"You're going to prank us." I repeated my statement so even he could comprehend. Sometimes I forgot he was a great deal slower than I.

"Oh," he tried to look innocent, but I was not so easily fooled.

"I suggest you do not put such plans into action. You may not live to regret it." His eyes widened. I allowed a smirk of satisfaction to grace my lips.

"All is taken care of, Superior."

"Good."

I now found myself in Superior Xemnas's private office. We were discussing the best course of action, should Demyx go through with his ill-conceived ideas. He had warned me not to harm the Melodious Nocturne. I had agreed, against my better judgment. I still found myself asking what reason he could have for shielding the brat.

Xemnas began to speak again and I pushed such thoughts out of my mind. I did not particularly want to hear his words, but I willed myself to listen.
