~ ~ One Shot Poem ~ ~
To Greg,
If only I had gone to work that day instead of you.
If only the world were a better place.
If only you hadn't tried to save that man,
I should have told you when all this began.
If only you had just walked away.
If only the god's would give you a second chance.
If only I could see you one last time.
If only I could tell you the truth.
If only I could have found the right words to say.
If only I had told you that I loved you, from the very first moment I laid eyes on you.
ღ
Now you'll see the world from above;
And never truly know my love.
My heart aches for you,
And I never knew if you felt this way too.
ღ
If only you didn't have to go away,
If only the world wasn't so gray.
I know it's off to a better place;
But what I would give to hold you in my embrace.
My love for you will never go away,
I feel so empty knowing this is only one-way.
I still see you in my dreams,
They're so sad they make my tears stream.
I used to think you were a dream come true,
Without you I feel so blue.
ღ
If only I could have made you see, just how much you mean to me;
From the very first moment that I looked into your eyes
My life was filled with love bird cries.
Those deep chocolate brown eyes showed me a mystery uncovered
ღ
My love for you was true,
If only you knew.
All my life I was searching for my soul mate;
One to increase my heart rate.
All along there was you!
You could have been mine;
But I ran out of time.
If only I didn't feel so lonely.
If only . . .

The End

Love it? Hate it?
Author's Note: I personally don't think I'm very good at poetry, but one of my friends requested a one shot of Nick's feelings if Greg had died during the Fannysmackin' incident, so I decided to show it in a poem. I hope you like it; I'm not so sure. Yet...
It's the first poem I've ever written, so please let me know what you think.
Thanks for reading, Please Review!
