Terra

A child chosen to wield great power,

I trained and dreamed of mastery

With a wooden blade,

My name etched into the side.

.

I met my friends along the way,

Passing on my wooden treasure to my little brother

And gaining a weapon to shake the Earth.

.

A final night beneath the same stars,

With tokens from my sister to help us find our way.

.

Then the trial—

And the darkness.

.

I sought the truth

As I saw many worlds

But always, the shadow was there

Leading me to believe a lie—

And yet, light shone through,

Taking the form of my friends

And the form of a young boy…

A boy who shone.

A boy to whom I passed the power I wield

So long as he fights for his friends

And is always ready to seek the way to dawn.

.

I thought I had won.

But the shadow followed me still.

.

A brother in danger,

My father struck down by the darkness,

My home destroyed and lost to oblivion.

.

A final showdown in a place where war was waged.

A forbidden blade through my little brother's heart.

My sister's fate unknown—I pray that she is safe.

.

And me—

A heart of darkness now faces my own,

But I prevail with my father's aid.

My mind waits,

Prepared to drive my foes to the Ends of the Earth—

Or go there to find my friends.

.

Sister…

Little brother…

I know you are still out there.

One day, this will be set right.

.

Even in the deepest darkness,

Never loose sight of the light.

However dark your troubles and however hard your trials,

Hold fast always to your friends.

Those you can rely on.

Those who give you power.

The ones who are part of your heart.

Let them give you life,

As do the rainfall and the wayward wind,

And let them be the cause for which you fight.
