Very short, unbetaed little piece that's been bugging me since I saw Bad Guys and they said that Sam was in Washington. Comments are appreciated.

Washington, eh?
Sam picked up her cellphone, and flipped it open when she saw Daniel's number on the call display.
"Hey Daniel. How're things going at the SGC?"
"Well I found this really amazing planet…" he began without preamble. Sam waited while he went on about the carvings on the planet, knowing that her friend would talk himself out soon. She looked over her shoulder as the apartment door opened, and gestured at the phone. "…and anyways," continued Daniel, "me and Mitchell and Vala and Teal'c are going to check it out."
"Sounds interesting. Don't let Cam get you guys killed."
"I'll try not to. How was the briefing?"
"Not particularly exciting."
"How's Washington?"
"Washington's same as always I guess."
"How's Jack?"
"Ja—Daniel!" Suddenly a hand reached out and snatched the phone from her.
"I'm fine Danny-boy. Now she's gonna have to talk to you when she gets home. Don't get shot." Jack shut the cellphone with a snap and threw it onto the table. "Miss me?"

Teal'c raised his eyebrow questioningly. Daniel grinned.
"Walter owes me a lot of money."
