Lilith

SUMMARY

A description of Lilith in her final resting place.

STORY

Shadow cast walls, invisible to even the sharpest eye, marble that would be white if it were day, now a calming, deep sapphire whose smooth surface would click against the softest shoe sole. A crystalline casket lay motionless on a slightly raised platform, made of the same marble that was tinted sapphire in the lack of light.

Inside there lay a slender form, whose rosy tresses of silky, fine hair cascaded to the walls of the crystal glass, teasing it lightly by remaining stubbornly motionless, just out of touching reach. Dark lips closed in an emotionless mask, delicately thick lashes marking the closed eyes of the rose red beauty within. Tanned skin still as flawless as the day its owner reached maturity. Finely manicured nails folded over a pleasantly well formed chest.

The lady within the casket, fixed within a never ending sleep, never to wake again to show her gleaming eyes to the world. Remaining stubbornly closed and silently alone, until one of her few mourners came to see her face again, and just talk to her lifeless corpse about the old times and the new.

Yet still she lay there.

Frozen in time.

Never listening, for she never hears.

She is just…

There.

And at the base of the glinting casket was an inscription in perfectly engraved calligraphy.

'Here lies Lilith Sahl

A beloved sister and friend

May she forever rest in peace'

Authors note: For those of you expecting Abel to turn up in Lilith's final resting place, I do apologse. Hpwever, I believe that I would never have had the ability to pull it off without ruining it. Thank you for taking the time to read this and please could I have a few reviews? I need to know if I screwed up royalty or not. I make no money from this piece. Lilith Sahl and Trinity Blood are not owned by me.
