I totally came up with this out of no where. It suddenly occurred to me while updating my Q&A with two anime characters when it hit me. Oi, and just to let you all know....well, yeah, go ahead and read on, my friend.
Yomi ran smack into another wall. Furrowing his brow, the blind king spread his hands out and felt along the wall. Spreading his energy out, he prodded the obstacles in front of him gently, trying to determine where they were. Usually having a calm demeanor and able to get out of most impossible situations, Yomi couldn't determine what to do in this one. Though he tugged helplessly at the thick strands of what he assumed we're some type of special strings they hurt his ears. Something was attached to the end of the thick strings, and had somehow been put deeply into his ear canals.
Not knowing the consequences of simply yanking them out, and so he was forced to grope blindly about for Uda to remove them. Though Yomi would've liked to have just blasted each object in his path to oblivion he wouldn't know if it was a pillar, a wall, or even something holding an object that could possibly injure him seriously. Still groping around, Yomi reached out and found the table.
Murkuro glanced up at Raizen, eye narrowed suspiciously.
"What was it you did to him? Because it's quite effective as a weapon." Murkuro stated, turning to look back at Yomi feeling his way along the table away from the front door. Raizen raised an eyebrow and looked down at her with his arms crossed.
"It's a human device of some sorts meant for entertainment. Though, you do have a point there, it seems to be defeating him." Raizen agreed, thinking how the device would surely assure his time on the throne and Murkuro's as well.
"Does this device have a name?" Murkuro asked, turning her head slightly to keep her eye on Yomi wandering helplessly around the room. She couldn't help but smile however when Yomi became tangled in some curtains he'd walked into and rip them off their frame.
"I believe it's called an IPod Nano, the small blue thing I taped to his horn in the back."
"I assume those things in his ears are-"
"Miniature headphones, which allow humans to hear their racket as loud as they want without others hearing it as well." Raizen finished for her, wandering when Yomi would simply give up. Tripping on the edge of his own cloak, the blind king went down hard on one knee. Cursing, he stumbled back up and tried to hear or determine what was around him.
"Take it off him, Raizen. This is clearly child's play." Murkuro stated, turning away from the scene. She heard a deep chuckle from Raizen, and out of curiosity turned around to see what he was up to now. To her surprise Raizen had reached out and grabbed the blind king to spin him around several times before pushing him off in the opposite direction. Yomi stumbled and what might've been a glare attempted to search the room, but since he couldn't see it had little use.
"I suppose it won't kill him...but watching him until the batteries run out couldn't hurt."
