Arashi: This is a request fic for Darkangel048. This is Duke/Joey though forgot the pairing name. A cute way of proposal that came into mind. Disclaimer-I don't own Yugioh and its characters since they rightfully belong to Kazuki Takahashi. I only write for fun which means I make no money off this fic at all.
Fluffy Proposal
Summary: Duke finds Joey gazing at two cute baby animals at the pet shop. He decide to get those two knowing his boyfriend will love it as a gift for Valentine's Day. On the ribbon on both will have a question with a ring on the small string on the little one's tail?
"Aw they are so cute," Joey murmurs waving his hand in front of a window getting a kitten and puppy to follow it.
Duke stares at the sight smiling softly a bit as he watches Joey continues. That's a good idea to do it. Hm, how to get Joey to go off.
"Joey why don't you go to our usual place for lunch and order for me." Duke reply getting the blond to nod before walking of not realizing his boyfriend has a silliest yet cutest idea.
Duke waits until Joey is out of sight before rushing inside the pet shop telling the clerk he'll take the kitten and puppy he saw Joey playi8ng with. The clerk couldn't help but smile telling him the kitten is a girl and the puppy a boy though if he wants ribbons on them.
"Can they be customized?" Duke asks blushing lightly making the man chuckle.
"Let me guess the big question?" The clerk answers kindly as the young man before him darken up making him smile. Young love in the air that's still pure.
"Can it have the following words? 'Love you forever and will you Marry me?' on the ribbon?" Duke inquires seeing the man pulling out a blue ribbon on having the first part and the second ribbon in a green color 'Will you marry me' flash at him. "They're perfect!"
"We get them quite a bit with valentine's day and Christmas rolling around so it helps. Did you want a light purple ribbon for the kitten's tail to hold the ring?" The man asks getting Duke out of his thoughts.
The raven hair man nod watching as the idea comes to life. He blushes lightly rubbing the little Akita behind the earning a tail wag. He grins seeing Joey can become the same way at times if he had a tail. He hands over the engagement ring seeing the kitten is batting her tail interest in it. He couldn't help but wonder what Joey's answer will be. Sure they been dating for almost two years but Duke feels they are ready for the next step.
"It's done," The clerk announce putting the two young animals in a box for Duke to take. "I wish you luck young man."
"Thank you," He murmurs taking the box and holding it carefully leaving the shop smiling happily.
"Joey…" Duke begins finding his boyfriend at a table out of their favorite restaurant.
"Did you get what you needed?" Joey asks noting the blush on his boyfriend's cheeks.
This concern the blond since this isn't like him. Usually Duke is well composed and all so seeing him like this concerns him dearly. He blinks in confusion as Duke place a box in front of him. Especially since it's moving a bit and small sounds coming from it.
He glance at Duke to see him nod. He opens it to find the Akita puppy and small kitten he loves from the pet shop. His eyes waters seeing the message on the ribbons they are wearing. He chokes back a sob as the kitten raise her little tail showing the ring.
He looks at Duke to find him on his knee, "Joey I love you so much. Will you make me the happiest man by marrying me?"
"Yes," Joey answers hugging his new fiancé as he takes the ring off the bow and place it on the blond's finger.
