So, I have recently become obsessed with KHR. Frankly, it's addicting. Somewhere along the way Self-Proclaimed Everything and I decided it would be prudent to write dramatic monologues (basically its a type of poem) in blank verse (unrhymed iambic pentameter) from Mukuro's and Tsuna's points of view, respectively. The ellipses (...) signify a space in which the person to whom that narrator is speaking responds.

The monologues are based off the blatant 6927 action in Episode 52. If you don't believe me, read the monologues and then watch it again. I wrote Tsuna's half, and Mukuro's half can be found in Self-Proclaimed Everything's profile. The impact is so much greater when the two are read side by side.

Disclaimer: I do not own Katekyo Hitman Reborn. The following poem is original work of EverPlotting

Episode 52 – 27 to 69

And so you stare with gleaming eyes ablaze,

and confidence engraved upon your lips

as they upturn into a smirk. I wonder if

you notice how I watch you fight with staff

in hand. I find myself still startled at

your grace; and how I easily fall prey

to the illusions you somehow make real.

What's that?... Naive you say? I guess I am.

But not so foolish to believe that you

are nothing more than hell's relinquished spawn.

I know you sacrificed freedom one time,

so that the ones you care for could go on;

and here you sacrifice yourself for me.

... I don't believe your words. I know you well,

far better than you think I do. I know

you feel compassion still despite the time

you spent detached from life. I know

that you will be my guardian. Like mist:

you will surround me, cover me, protect –

... I don't believe you mean the things you say,

and yet your scorn still pinches at my heart.

.

If you were too lazy to read my note at the top -- jerks -- then go to Self-Proclaimed Everything's profile to see Mukuro's half of the poem.

It is too excellent to resist. Trust me.
