a smidge of orihime and her aniki, because they seemed like a cute sibling relationship and I suck at romance.

Once upon a time she loved ice-cream. It meant a whole day with aniki, going to the park, having him push her up so high that she could almost touch the sky, laughter a sweet song in her ears, something that was a curse and a blessing, the former she'd learn later, but then, it was just a blessing when she started her day with ice-cream.

She remembered exactly how much he'd scoop, two scoops of delicious ice-cream, her favorite flavor was whatever aniki had bought, and it was always with the smallest ice-cream scooper he'd bought in a store closing down sale. He'd ruffle her hair, and she'd pout, then he'd get out the carton and scoop them, two perfect circles that shone gorgeously in the morning sunlight.

Of course, she can't remember the details of the days, but she can remember feelings, the emotion of immeasurable happiness, solely because she had aniki, and he'd try and amaze her by going to new and cool places, like the hike they'd gone on to see the sunset on top of a hill that had her initials and aniki's on them.

She still goes there, awe overwhelming her because it is beautiful, and it was one of the few times aniki had seemed natural, a serene smile on his face as he took in the world below. They went a few times, and every time they went, she saw the expression on his face, as if he'd seen the light for the first time, and he'd been a blind man before.

Her hands are poised to take a photo, to upload to social media, because it is breathtaking, but she decides against it. It's a secret place after all.

She snaps a few photos of the sunset itself, because it reminds her of aniki's smile, warm, kind, and always present. Until the sun set of course, but Orihime could live with the moon and stars, Ulquiorra.

So, my first tentative toe-dip into the Bleach fandom and I sincerely hoped you enjoyed it. If you did, review and gimmeh yo thoughts~ Or, if you didn't, you can continue with your life, totally disgusted with my writing. Either way, I hope you have a wonderful day.
