Author's Notes
These clerihews are about the first ten episodes—or first twenty stories—of the second season of Arthur. There will be a separate collection of clerihews about the rest of the second season published in the near future. The reason I decided to split season 2 up was because the characters appear to act very differently while Buster is away with his dad, like they suddenly become as dumb as Buster. Weird. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these.
Arthur the Pianist
Had lost his summer activity list
And his lucky pencil
But neither was essential
D.W. the Troublemaker
Gets jealous of Kate (She's not allowed to wake her).
She's picky about both food and song;
She has listened to "Crazy Bus" all day long.
Francine the Aspiring Olympic Rider
Doesn't mind sharing the thoughts that are inside her.
Did she learn her lesson after her classmates made oodles
Of doodles?
Buster the Cat Saver
Simply used the ice cream flavor Rocky Trout.
That's without a doubt!
Muffy the Lousy Camera Operator
Would be greater
If she would carefully look
Through the instruction book.
Brain the Twenty-Four-Hour Referee
Was sure that he
Saw Francine put her foot on the line.
"She was just doing exercises. It was fine!"
Sue Ellen the Magician
Is on a mission
To master a card trick.
It's a one out of fifty-two pick.
Binky the Art Expert
Is whom Arthur and Buster don't want to hurt.
Because when they gaze
They don't see a painting that's sideways.
Fern the Frequently Inspired
Never gets tired
Of making up poems. At camp she won
A blue ribbon.
Author's Notes
I did as best as I could in rhyming the ending of each line. Sue Ellen and Fern were the hardest because they rarely appeared in the first half of season 2, but I wanted to write verses about both of them.
