A chilly breeze sweeps over the mountains of China. The leaves of the bamboo trees sway with the wind. Fall is ending, and Winter is approaching. The full moon lurks over the planet, providing light to see. A young snow leopardess walks to a camp, lit up with the light of lanterns. She approaches a male water buffalo armed with a spear.
"Halt! Who goes there!" He exclaims. The leopardess looked at him, and gave him a smile even a female could fall for.
"I'm here to join the Ladies of the Shade, this is their camp no?" She asked politely. The man lowered his weapon and smiled.
"Why yes it is. Let me open the door for you." The water buffalo said, then opened the door for her. The leopardess thanked him and entered the camp. 'I hope I don't have to do that again, then again, this is the Ladies of the Shade.' She thought. After a minute or two of standing there, another snow leopardess wearing blue approached her.
"Hello there, who might you be?" The leopardess asked.
"I am Aiju, I come to join the Ladies of the Shade." Aiju answered.
"Well, Aiju, I am Sue, leader of the Ladies of the Shade. Tell me, can you dance?" Su asked again.
"Yes I can, very well." Aiju said with confidence.
"Then dance you will, follow me." Sue said, leading Aiju to the middle of the camp. When they got there, it went silent.
"Go ahead dance." Sue said, plain and simple. Aiju started to dance, with beautiful twirls and flips, incredibly light on her feet, amazing everyone. Eventually she finished.
"Hmm, very good." Sue said, handing Aiju a red umbrella.
"Now, something I 'forgot' to tell you, is we're actually thieves, you will do what I say, when I say it, got it?" Sue said sternly.
"Trust me, I knew." Aiju said, suprising everyone, including Sue.
"How did you know?" Asked Sue.
"I have my sources." Aiju answered.
"Hmm, very well. You shall begin umbrella training tomorrow. You are sharing a room with Song." Sue said, pointing to a leopardess wearing the same attire Sue had on except red. The same thing went for every other leopardess in the camp. Song seemed young like Aiju, about twenty or so. The two walked to their quarters. It was a decent sized room that had two single beds. Song went to hers.
"Just pick one and fall in it when you're tired." She said, and went to sleep. Aiju went to hers, and lied down on the bed.
'Now I begin what I've always wanted to do. Be a real thief.' Aiju thought before falling into a deep sleep.
