Hey everyone. For some reason today I felt inspired to write random drabbles about fandoms I love but have never written for. So here is one for the Bourne movies - gotta love those XD This is set within the first ten or so minutes of The Bourne Supremacy. Told from Jason/David's perspective. Enjoy it!

Falling. All you know is that you're falling.

Your mind moves at a million miles a minute, but you can't think fast enough.

You heard the shot and you feel the gravity.

You feel velocity.

You hear wind whishing past the car – you feel impact – you hear water swirling, mixing to make a toppling requiem.

You have to get out.

You have to get Marie out.

You should've known this would happen. You should've known they'd find you and someone would get hurt. You should've known better than to let yourself care for her. You should've known better than to put her in harm's way. You should've known better.

You should've known better – those words echo in your head – guilt requiem.

You get your door open, and though your breath is half gone, you know you have to get her out.

You have to save her. You have to save Marie.

You have to get her body out – you just have to.

You pull her out of the car, into the open water.

She's not breathing.

All your fault.

It's all your fault that she's not breathing.

You try to put air back into her lungs – you know she's been shot. You know.

You know she's gone. You need her, and she's gone.

You try again. You breathe air into her, air flowing slowly from you to her. Desperate requiem.

You can't just let her go like this.

You can't just let her go.

But she's already gone.

You kiss her, one last time. One last kiss, and one last chance to feel her. Solace requiem burning its memory into your soul.

And you let Marie go, you let her float away to join the river in its requiem.

Yeah, I know. It's my first Bourne fanfic, so it's not great. But I'd love any criticism anyone has to offer! Please review!

Love always,

Lily
