Luna Lovegood was a person who believed in happiness. When her mother died, she swore to herself she would be happy. That's what her mother wanted right? Her mother always told her to be happy. That's why she believed in all the creatures she talked about. Because to her, believing was just about the only thing she had left.
Theodore Nott was not a believer. He stopped believing when he was young. Theodore also didn't believe in Voldemort. He was quite the opposite of his father, who basically worshipped the ground the Dark Lord walked on. When he first learned what his father was, he was disgusted.
Luna Lovegood was quite tired of the Nargles taking her shoes. The pesky creatures always hid them in the craziest spots. She was also quite tired of Pansy and her crew laughing at her. It was a good thing she believed in happiness, or else what they said might actually hurt her.
Theodore Nott was tired of Draco. All the boy ever did was flaunt what his dad was. It disgusted him. But of course, so did blood. Which is why when he found a Ravenclaw girl, not too much younger then he might add, shivering in what looked like a small pool of blood; he promptly threw-up. This may not have been the best thing to help the petite blonde. "Erm, are you alright miss?"
Luna Lovegood almost stopped believing in happiness. Pansy had decided to see what a severing charm could do on human flesh. Of course, the best subject to try her theory out on had been "Loony Lovegood". Pansy idea had worked, and poor Luna now had quite a deep gash on her upper arm. She faintly heard the sound of someone throwing up. Luna looked up to see a boy, not that much older than her, looking quite pale. She almost smiled and said something about Wrackspurts, but then she saw the shimmer of green on his robes. "Oh yes, I am quite fine. Are you here to try a severing charm too?"
Theodore Nott was not one to deal with blood, or charms. This girl seemed almost unfazed by both. He decided that this girl was braver then Draco or his father. This girl seemed familiar, it wasn't until he saw the butter cork necklace, now slightly stained red, that he recognized her. "You're Luna right? Let's get you to Madam Pomfrey."
Luna Lovegood was quite well. It had been a week since the severing charm incident, and Pansy had been punished fairly. Her and Theodore had become the talk of the school. Although ,she didn't quite know why. Theodore said it was all the Nargles. But Luna had insisted the Nargles were gone. They had to have been, because every day, without fail, Theodore had her shoes. Luna did love Theodore Nott, even if he was clad in green and everybody said he was loony.
Theodore Nott wasn't one to believe, he never was. But somehow, Luna had managed to make him. He realized, that even if the world was filled with dark, as long as you believed in something, the dark would go away. Theodore did believe in something. He believed in his island of happiness, he believed in Luna Lovegood.
