Hi everyone! This is the second installment of my first fanfiction on this site, so please read both this and it's counter part. ^_^ Also, last time I forgot to mention that since I am not Naoko Takeguchi, I don't any of these characters, nor am I claiming too. I'm just a crazy writer that wants to get some ideas out there. Please don't sue me, it won't be worth your time! Anyway… on to the story. Ohhh… also, if you're not into girl couples, this ain't the place for you. ^^;

Broken Hearted Mokoto

By: Aoichou

Makoto looked at the other girl with a face full of worry and confusion. "Surely you're joking Minako! Don't you remember us? Our life together?" Minako shook her head, her eyes also full of confusion.

"I honestly have no idea what you're talking about Mako-chan. Now… can I please get some more sleep?" Mako nodded numbly and walked stiffly out of the room. Her eyes brimming with tears she walked to where the others were. As soon as she sat down, the threat began a flow.

"Makoto-chan, what is it?" Ami kneeled down in front of the taller girl, setting her hands on the other's knees.

"She… doesn't re…remember us…" Her tears poured in courses down her cheeks. "I tried to kiss her goodbye and she acted like I'd tried to stab her or something. She asked me if I thought she was gay or something." She buried her face in her hands and choked, sobbing more. Ami shook her head sadly and swallowed.

"I was afraid this would happen." She walked over to her laptop and opened it, typing furiously. Nodding sadly she closed the lid and walked back over. "I am going to go in and ask her some questions, and see what all she can remember. I should be out soon." She walked slowly into the healing room and closed the door softly behind her.

"I think what Ami's trying to get out in a round about way is that Minako has lost only part of her memory." Rei patted Makoto's back softly and sighed.

"Yeah, the part I'm in." Makoto stood up and shoved everybody away, walking to the door. She walked out and down the stairs, her steps heavy and leaden as she rounded the corner. The pond in front of her was still and cool as she neared it and sank to the edge, her eyes as cold and lifeless as the water she was sitting in front of.

"Keep your chin up Makoto, I'm sure she will get better soon." Michiru stood to her left and Haruka to her right, shading her from the pale autumn sun.

"I hate this! I hate this not knowing if she knows anything about how I feel about her! And now I can't even be around her until she remembers!" She slammed her hand into the water and splashed it hard, sending an innocent small lily pad spinning.

"If you like, we are here to help ease your pain." Haruka's voice was soft and gentle, her stature straight and impressive.

"Thanks guys," Makoto said gently, moving to stand. Setsuna moved to stand behind her and put a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"I can take you back Makoto… would you like that?" Makoto jerked away impassively and exhaled through her nose.

"Help her remember Setsuna. Help her remember me in anyway that she can." Setsuna nodded and looked to the other two, who nodded at her solemnly and turned to leave her to her thoughts by the pool.
