The small boy bolted up, holding himself, trembling slightly.
The let out a slight whimper as tears ran down his face.
He slowly got out of his bed, looking around paranoid.
His nightmare had shaken him so badly he could barley tell real life from his dream world.
He walked down the hall which felt like it would never end.
Finally he reached a door.
He wiped his tear a bit & hesitantly knocked on the door.
There was silence, then the sounds of foot steps slowly coming closer to the door.
The door opened & the smaller boy peered up at the man, who's eyes appeared blood shot from lack of sleep.
Vector stared down at Charmy & after his vision cleared up noticed the tears streaming from his eyes.
"Charmy? Is something the matter?" Vector asked, his tone concered yet sleepy.
Charmy sniffled & wiped away his tears before replying.
"V-vector, I had a nightmare... C-can I sleep with you tonight?"
Vector was silent, he didn't say anything.
Charmy continued.
"I'd stay with Espio but he won't let me in his room! And I'm really scared! And-"
Before he could say anything else Vector cut him off by placing his hand on the smaller boys
shoulder & leading him into his room.
"Just this once 'kay, don't get used to it..." Vector said as he lied back down in his bed.
Charmy lied down next to him & gave him a small nod in agreement.
A few minutes passed & Vector was fast asleep.
Charmy on the other hand was still to scared to sleep.
He began scooting closer to Vector, hoping he wouldn't wake up in the process.
He kept scooting until he was right next to him, the warmth from Vector's body soothing him.
But Charmy craved more warmth, he snuggled into Vector's chest & tried to wrapping his small arms around Vector's body.
Vector woke up after feeling the smaller boys arms trying to pull him closer.
A startled Chamry bolted back a bit, as his eyes tearing up yet again.
Now that Vector had woken up, he feared that he'd be kicked out of the room or yelled at or worse....
This is when Vector did something unexpected.
He smiled.
"Aww, I guess that nightmare really did shake you up huh little buddy?" saying this Vector pulled Charmy into a tight and loving embrace.
Charmy was slightly confused, but didn't make anything of it considering he was content in Vector's warm embrace.
And finally he drifted off into a peaceful, happy slumber.
