T-Shirts, Coffee and Idiots
"Reid! Reid!" Reid rolled over in bed, the sheets on the other side still feeling warm from where Luke slept on them the night before. He smirked as he took in the rumpled sheets, the medical journals knocked from the bedside cupboard, and the clothes strewn all over the floor. Last night, Luke turned up at his house and decided he was done waiting. Reid didn't think he'd ever been so happy in his life; not that he'd ever admit to it.
Luke was still calling him from god knows where. So even though the bed was warm, and still smelt of Luke, Reid forced himself to get up. Groaning slightly, Reid dragged himself out of bed and pulled on the jeans he had worn last night, not bothering to do up the zip or button.
He yawned slightly as he padded through the apartment, looking for Luke and finally finding him in the bathroom. Luke was stood facing the shower with a look of puzzled bemusement on his face. He was also clad in only a pair of boxers and one of Reid's old Harvard t-shirts. Reid had a feeling that he would never see that shirt again, but, to his surprise, he found that he didn't care. Besides, it looked hot on Luke.
"What, Mr Snyder?" Reid asked, attempting to sound cold and sarcastic but failing miserably to keep the smile out of his voice.
"Morning." Luke replied, kissing Reid on the cheek softly before turning back to the shower. Before Reid could ask what was wrong again, Luke started to babble.
"I…um… I couldn't quite… how do you turn the shower on?" He asked, blushing and looking down in embarrassment.
"Seriously, Luke?" Reid asked mockingly, effortlessly turning the shower on and smirking at his boyfriend.
"Shut up," Luke laughed, pulling off the clothes and stepping into the shower. Reid took a moment to admire Luke's body before walking out of the bathroom. He closed the door behind him as he went, and leaned on it for a second before going into the kitchen to face Katie and get breakfast. He shook his head fondly.
"When did I fall in love with such an idiot?" He muttered in what he thought was a quiet voice before heading in the kitchen. In the other room, Luke stood rock still, brain working through what he had just heard Reid say. After a short pause, he grinned and went back to cleaning himself off after last night.
"So… did you sleep well?" Katie asked as soon as Reid walked into the living room, eyebrows raised suggestively. Reid chose to ignore, and set about finding food. Katie laughed shortly, and turned back to Jacob.
"Thought not," She whispered to her son, smiling when he giggled back at her. Reid just rolled his eyes in response and set about making coffee for him and Luke. Luke took a ridiculous amount of time in the bathroom, as it turned out. By the time he actually walked into the room, his coffee had gone cold and Reid had to make him another.
"I should have known you would take ages," Reid complained. Much to his annoyance, Luke just laughed.
"Sorry," Luke apologised insincerely before leaning over and kissing Reid on the side of the neck. Luke's lips were warm, and Reid leaned his neck slightly to give Luke more room to work. But Luke pulled back and Reid turned to look at him questioningly.
"By the way," Luke said casually, "I love you too." Allowing himself only a moment to let Luke's words sink in, Reid launched himself at Luke. He kissed him as hard as he could, ignoring Katie's happy squeals in the background.
