Challenge Word: Storm
AN: I wrote a second "storm" drabble for KKBELVIS, who asked me to write one about the boys stuck in the car during a storm. Here you go, hon. Hope you like it! :D
Complete blackness shrouded the night, the absolute darkness unbroken by moon or stars. Thick clouds oozed across the sky. The wind howled like a hungry animal and rain beat steadily across the landscape, flung sideways by the relentless gale.
A black Impala cowered forlornly, buffeted and pummeled by the fury of the storm. Its occupants stirred restlessly as sleep eluded them.
A sudden flash of lightning slashed the sky, followed immediately by an earth-shattering rumble. The electric scent of ozone permeated the air.
"Crap. That was close."
"Sammy, next time I suggest sleeping under the stars, shoot me."
"Got it."
