My first Over The Garden Wall fanfic! If you clicked on this and haven't actually watched OTGW I highly suggest you watch it. So...this is just a cute and fluffy Infinite Eyerolls story. In case you don't know that ship name, it is Wirt and Beatrice. Wirt's POV:
After Beatrice had turned herself, and her family, back into humans the found their way out of the Unknown. They had been living in our town, and well...after a while, we started dating. I know right? I actually got the courage to ask her out. Well...actually, I was stuttering horribly, trying to get out the words, and she just guessed what I was going to say. It probably wasn't that hard to guess, but she still said "yes" and that's all that matters.
One night, we were sitting in my living room playing Super Smash Bros Brawl. A game I had loved for years. Unfortunately, Beatrice was kicking my ass at it.
"Bea...seriously. What the actual fuck!? You've been living in the unknown your whole life. How are you beating me?" I said in shock as she kicked me off the ring, but I survived and jumped back up and we continued our fight.
"I dunno...it's just not really hard." She chuckled, hitting me again. I was taken aback by her comment. I wasn't that bad of a player, so that my girlfriend (who didn't even know what a video game was until a few months prior) was beating me senseless.
"Thanks! That makes me feel better about my playing!" I said sarcastically, trying to fight back.
"Oh, come on Wirt. Don't be a baby about it." She said, a smile spreading across her face.
"I'm not!" I protested.
"Yes...you are. And now you're gonna go crying to your Momma, cause I'm about to kick your ass!" She grabbed the smash ball and used the move on me. I instantly died, and the ginger haired girl was victorious. I tossed my controller down onto the couch.
"Congrats! You've officially bested me at my favorite video game!" I ran a hand through my hair as I shook my head. She let out a giggle and scooted closer to me, placing her controller down.
"Oh shut up!" Beatrice said, kissing me lightly. "It doesn't matter that you lost in a video game, because you won me you dork." She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me again.
"You're right, and that's something that none of the video game nerds at school will ever be able to say." I said, kissing her back.
"Exactly. Now don't be a push over and make out with me." She grinned. I nodded to her with a confident look.
"Yes ma'am."
