Coming back to school after Thanksgiving Break.

Riley tried convincing me to wear a skirt but I just stuck with my flannel shirt, ripped jeans, and combat boots because A. it was cold outside and B. Why would I wear a skirt?

Mr Matthews, who switched to high school teaching, begged the principal to have Riley be in all the classes with me, which worked.

I sat down in first period with Riley in the next seat as always.

When Mr Matthews came in he started talking about some boring stuff, which made me fall asleep.

Footsteps disturbed my slumber when it walked into the room.

Riley sighed dreamily staring at the door.

I looked at the door where a boy was standing.

Mr Matthews shook his hand and said, "Everyone, this is Lucas Friar. He's a new student"

Mr Matthews point at the desk in front of me where I guess Lucas is gonna sit.

Lucas sat down and turned around.

He smiled at me and turned back around.

When it was lunch time all Riley could talk about was Lucas.

"Did you hear he's from Texas?"

"He's soooooo hot!"

"His green eyes are making me melt!"

"His hair looks so perfect!"

I couldn't take it! "OK I GET IT RILEY! HE'S SO PERFECT!" I yelled

"Ouch! I thought you'd be so happy since Brandon came back from Florida over the Thanksgiving Break and you two went on multiple dates" Riley said

I broke into sobs.

"BRANDON CHEATED ON ME!" I yelled

"Maya..." Riley said.

I threw my food on the floor and ran out of the Cafeteria.

I stopped running and started walking to my locker.

I stopped in my tracks and saw Brandon, he was making out with Missy.

They stopped and Brandon spotted me.

"Hey Maya...Y'know Missy right?" He said.

Missy grinned and said, "Hi Maya. Sorry for stealing your man. He's mine now" She laughed at me as more tears came.

I ran.

Faster and faster, I didn't wanna stop.

I bumped into somebody and they fell into me.

I was lying on the floor.

My nose was touching his nose.

Then I saw who it was, Lucas Friar.
