Daddy Kendall

You're on the couch reading a magazine, when you hear the door slam, followed by the sobs of your 13 year-old daughter. She doesn't even bother saying hi to you or Kendall. "What was that?" Kendall asked nervously, coming from your bedroom. "It's Rosie… something bad must have happened at school," you explain to him.

"I'll go talk to her," you say getting up. You walk into your daughter's room, and see her facedown on her bed, crying. "Baby? What happened?" you ask sitting on her bed, and stroking her back. She doesn't respond, she just continues sobbing. "Rosemary, baby, what happened?" you asked once again. "You want to know what happened mom? You really wanna know?" your daughter turns around. Her jade eyes were red and puffy. "They called me fat. They called me ugly. They called me fat. They think I'm annoying, I don't even know why. They hate me mom, they hate me," she explained, still sobbing.

"Rosemary, listen to me," you began looking into those jade eyes which resembled Kendall's, "baby, you're beautiful. You're the most beautiful girl in the world, and daddy and I love you more than anything," you say sincerely. "Well, I don't feel beautiful at all," she sobs into her pillow.

Suddenly an idea popped into your head. "I'll be right back," you say, and kiss your daughter's head before walking out.

"Kendall, Rosemary's having insecurity problems. She says kids called her fat and ugly," you explain. "That's terrible…" Kendall said widening his eyes in sympathy. "I have an idea," you announce, "sing her a song," "I know exactly what song," he smirks, and grabs his guitar.

Kendall walks straight to your daughter's room, and you follow. He sits right at the foot of her bed, and begins singing;I don't know why you always get so insecure I wish you could see what I see when you're looking in the mirror and why won't you believe me when I say that to me you get more beautiful everyday.

You stand at the doorway and smile, watching your husband sing the ballad to your daughter. The smile on her face makes your heart swell. You married such a perfect man with a heart of pure gold.

When Kendall finishes singing, Rosemary tackles him with a big bear hug. "I love you, daddy," you hear her say. You join in on the hug with your husband and daughter. "Thank you guys. You're the best parents in the world. I love you," she says, crying happily.
