Light and were they the ones chosen to fight the darkness more so than the others? Perhaps light and kindness were something that kept people innocent and happy. But those who truly possessed those traits knew they were not easy things to keep. As Hikari stood out in the snow, little snowflakes falling all around this was on her mind. She wondered idly if Ken ever thought about that as well.

Or perhaps Miyako since she was dragged with them to that dark place once. Would the darkness ever vanish? Or would it always be lurking? Would she and Ken ever get a break from it? She had so many questions that couldn't simply be answered However, a welcoming voice drew her from her stasis of thought.

"You look like you're getting cold out here." Ken's voice was soothing, sweet like honey to Hikari's ears. A blush warmed her cheeks as she turned to see he had been standing beside her. He had a habit of popping up like this when she most needed someone to turn to. Their first kiss again played in her mind Judging by his blush that mirrored her own it had been on his mind too.

"I guess I just spaced their for a minute. I was wondering why we have to deal with the darkness rather than anybody else, you know…It's a hard battle." Hikari said finally, playing no mind as he gently took her hand. She did give it a gentle squeeze in return.
"I'm not really sure, Hikari-chan. But what I do know is that whatever it is we face..We will always be there to back eachother up." Ken responded, watching the falling snow.

And just for that one moment Hikari felt that was enough. To know that she had someone who would stand and fight it with her.
